burnden Posted October 1, 2017 Posted October 1, 2017 . It'll be interesting to see Ken's opinions on the latest defeat on the club website https://www.bwfc.co.uk/news/2017/october/a-note-from-the-chairman/ Quote

radcliffe white Posted October 1, 2017 Posted October 1, 2017 Let's hope the bonding session pays off Quote
Rizlar Posted October 1, 2017 Posted October 1, 2017 So a bonding session will be the answer to all our problems. Quote
waffer cup 07 Posted October 1, 2017 Posted October 1, 2017 I don't think anyone is suggesting it will be, but there's no harm in it so long as they behave. Quote
Zico Posted October 1, 2017 Posted October 1, 2017 What's he going on about when he's going on about historical stats? Quote
Morizio Posted October 1, 2017 Posted October 1, 2017 Nobody picked up on Beevers and Wheater get booked because of shit passes by Taylor? Ameobi was very good for us. Like this Henry as well, he’s a tough bastard and him and Pratley will be a good midfield combination. Quote
jturner Posted October 1, 2017 Posted October 1, 2017 What's he going on about when he's going on about historical stats? perhaps When he's trying to be upbeat , it's better to avoid the fact that we've had the worst start to a season for 115 years, are on a worse run than Crystal Palace and have just lost at Villa for the first time in 4. I've a funny feeling if we were breaking records for outstanding achievements rather than failure he would be more "interested" Quote

I agree, I'm not Pratley's biggest fan, but Pratley & Henry in the centre is probably our only hope of survival, we just need mids who are prepared to put their foot in now. Quote
frank_spencer Posted October 1, 2017 Posted October 1, 2017 This has been the tactic of just about every recent manager. I assume the idea is that we're more likely to win games if we can stop the opponents scoring. Soak up the pressure and bide our time. I'd rather have a player up front because it keeps two opponents back too. at 0-0 or even 0-1 every bugger back is no issue. 2 down you'd at least try and have some sort of counter available Quote
Big E Posted October 2, 2017 Posted October 2, 2017 Its probably been covered but when did we last go a whole month not scoring ? Quote

DavidLeesMullet Posted October 9, 2017 Posted October 9, 2017 Was at this match and although we lost, thoroughly enjoyed it. The atmosphere was electric, and there was some (Mostly) good natured banter being thrown around by both sets of fans. Even Bolton played pretty well compared to the last match I went to (Derby at home), although we are so woefully inadequate in places, and the tonking me and my mate predicted didn't happen. By the way, who ate all the pies at Villa, wasn't my mate Mossy surprisingly...ban-ter!!! Quote
