Northern Ireland was a part of Ireland, if the population want to go back to being part of Ireland I’ve no issue with that, same with Scotland and Wales, since when has London not been in England?

A contrary bugger; London to leave the UK. Aye democracy in action.

Graham Gudgin and Ken Courts, legends! I've had a quick look, far too many variables involved to make comparisons over that time frame IMO. If we are not doing well how did we get to 5th largest economy? Good prudent management of the economy but the single market and customs union has to be a key factor don't you think?

I wasn't trying to knock anyone out, it was a verbal ding ding. You know, when two people have a civilised debate without resorting to block capitals and threats of violence outside the Happy shop😀

Not agreeing with you does not make somebody contrary

Its mounts who equated NI voting to remain as a vote to leave the union

And democracy...london doesnt want to leave, so why shouldnt they fcuk off

If its good enough for NI, n all that

If that’s the point then, do you agree your point of “if’” re Farage counts for nothing,  compared with the factual evidence re Heidi Allen ?

No ifs or buts nor elongated waffle please, just a straight answer of Yes or No.

Question.

A serious one because i actually really need to know.

On the 1st November, we leave. How soon after will we be signing trade deals with everyone and getting richer?

Im honestly putting an optimistic hat on here, but since people on both sides have the answers, bows the time to give them.

Will these deals all be done by Xmas?

Come On lets be realistic.

The sky is going to fall in shortly post brexit with mass famine and the plague kicking in due to lack of medical supplies and no clean drinking water or sanitation and that’s only if the global warming doesn’t get us first no danger are we seeing 2029

If we do leave in October (or January) then we have until December 2020 to agree a trade deal with the EU. So considering it has taken 3.5 years to get to this point it doesn't bode well for the most difficult element, a FTA, to be negotiated in the next 12 months with our closest and most important trading partner. Don't worry though we have agreed 15 continuity trade deals with 40 countries representing 8% of UK trade none of which are improved terms than we had in the EU, not one! So much so for negotiating these new and improved trade deals

Nobody has ever said the sky is going to fall in. It's just going to be very shit for a long time.

Yours and my interpretation of a lot of what’s been said on here are very different then in that case so let’s leave it at that

and of course I should have added that’s in your opinion it’s going to be very shit for a long time. Because the truth is nobody knows despite protestations either way on the political and economic think tank that is this thread

You say that as though "very shit for a long time" is somehow a good thing.

How the fuck do you fathom that? In what way have I implied that? I try and give everyone the benefit of the doubt but sometimes things are said that I just look at in great puzzlement and this is one of them.
