Pound heading to 1.19 now we’re heading for a Tory majority, nice how the heat has gone out of the debate now remain option looks like it’s finally crushed,  good times ahead.

Now

As I recall you were more than happy for the pound to tank as it would be good news for exporters not so long back.

You're proper baffled.

We're all in it together after all.

At least you've admitted you couldn't give a fuck about the greater good and it's all about your retirement.

Respect due to you for that Mounts.

Nothing about Abbott's son or the riots in France then ?

I truly despair.

Diane Abbott is there to ensure Labour don't win. They're not daft, they don't want to be in power right now.

I've no idea what her son has done but I can't see it improving his mother's ability to count past 3.

The French simply enjoy not working. I spent a few weeks there this year and they are bone-idle, white-flag waving communist popinjays.

They don't need much of an excuse to get the barricades out. Whoever rules them will find they end up striking about something or other. It's in their DNA

I'm sure you'd know if Trump's or Johnson's offspring had done something equally shocking.

A good evening to you sir.

tbf I hadn’t seen anything about abbots son til you said. I avoid the news nowadays anyway it’s full of utter tripe

Since Brexit the pound has lost about 20% against other currencies so your income from the UK doesn't go as far as it used to. Also, my UK income is still subject to income tax even though I don't reside in the UK. I am in Thailand (no I haven't seen Fat Larry) and the exchange rate pre Brexit was 52 Baht to the Pound, now it is 40 but has been as low as 36.

Plus, it is just interesting, like following the Wanderers is.

Maybe you could ask the same question on the Trump thread?

My interest in American politics is way before your mate, bit of a history geek and America fascinates me.

I never really thought of it like that. That’s a massive drop.

Fuck me - we were here years ago. When you leave, do you think all trace vanishes? Family, property, friends etc.

I have financial interests in the UK and other parts of Europe, I have a large extended family mostly in the Bolton area but outposts in Buckinghamshire and East Renfrewshire and a number of lifelong friends who still stay in regular contact, BWFC.

What makes you think I wouldn't want what I consider to be the very best possible for all of those?
