Now As I recall you were more than happy for the pound to tank as it would be good news for exporters not so long back. You're proper baffled. Quote

Diane Abbott is there to ensure Labour don't win. They're not daft, they don't want to be in power right now. I've no idea what her son has done but I can't see it improving his mother's ability to count past 3. The French simply enjoy not working. I spent a few weeks there this year and they are bone-idle, white-flag waving communist popinjays. They don't need much of an excuse to get the barricades out. Whoever rules them will find they end up striking about something or other. It's in their DNA Edited December 5, 2019 by Spider Quote

Since Brexit the pound has lost about 20% against other currencies so your income from the UK doesn't go as far as it used to. Also, my UK income is still subject to income tax even though I don't reside in the UK. I am in Thailand (no I haven't seen Fat Larry) and the exchange rate pre Brexit was 52 Baht to the Pound, now it is 40 but has been as low as 36. Plus, it is just interesting, like following the Wanderers is. Edited December 5, 2019 by Mannyroader Quote

Fuck me - we were here years ago. When you leave, do you think all trace vanishes? Family, property, friends etc. I have financial interests in the UK and other parts of Europe, I have a large extended family mostly in the Bolton area but outposts in Buckinghamshire and East Renfrewshire and a number of lifelong friends who still stay in regular contact, BWFC. What makes you think I wouldn't want what I consider to be the very best possible for all of those? Quote
