That's the end of any form of anti-Government Protests in this country then, no matter how Peaceful they are. What a fucking state we've become. Slowly, slowly creeping towards a Dictatorship. Where are all the outraged "Free Speech" warriors?

I misread this as a thread about Dennis Politics family.

Nah, mate, just another thread of bollocks.

Protesters are always smelly anyway.

No-one wants thousands of unwashed scruffs clogging up the streets with their dredlocks and couscous, daft placards and hypocrisy, especially with an economy to rebuild.

Anyway, I thought this thread was about; the tool of the trade of Yelena Isinbayeva, the 'street' term for MDMA and the former abbreviated name of Science and Technology Centres - like that one on Minerva Road.

Stepping up the action on our estate since those tyrants took control.

Isn't that potentially true of any mp not in a safe seat?

Aye

But from living round that way I know what a useless MP he is

Stick a blue rosette on a cow and they’ll vote for it

If David Davis wasn’t sat in a safe Tory seat he’d have been gone long ago

Can't speak for his constituency work, but in parliament he is extremely active on all sorts of fronts. Some things I agree with him on others I don’t. He isn't scared of being outspoken and disagreeing with government which isn't a bad thing.

Of particular note has been his significant championing of the issuing of free vitamin D to all the population of the country, to help the covid fight. This based on the highly successful Spanish trial. Seems a no brainer, but its not happened.

It is worrying how much they're rushing through parliament at the moment.

Disagree with this bill. But they won the majority so they will crack on regardless & that's the nature of the current system.

Protest ain't going away. When people feel strongly enough about something then they come together. They were doing it when the horse charges & batons would come out & they'll do it again.

Makes better sense to tackle the climate crisis properly than waste time on protest. Increase sentences for those causing disruption & criminal damage, that's all it needs.

Can't charge and prosecute unless an offence has been committed.

So the sentence bit is irrelevant.

Hence the new laws.

Climate is a separate issue. Parliamentary attitudes towards it reflect that of the public, gradual increase in awareness etc but slow.

I saw a brief bit of Dominic Cummings giving evidence to a committe earlier.

One thing on note was his (and Patrick Vallance etc) belief that science and research responsibility needs to move from Beis to the cabinet Office so it has higher priority and access to senior ministers. This would have been beneficial in tackling the pandemic in its early stages.

It has happened now, and hopefully those climate scientists will now be able to have greater influence on government policy.

We'll see.

I mean it's separate, but it's also partly a reaction to the climate protests of recent years.

That would make a huge different on climate policy 👍 Be great to see climate scientists with the same level of influence that the medical ones have had this pandemic.

Silver linings

Edit: most worrying bit for me is the vagueness of the term annoyance. Gives them pretty much full power to make any protest illegal. Hopefully the courts can step in there.

All in good time my Orange Order friend 💗🥁

Though looking at the threats coming from the EU today, not sure any campaign can justify cosying up to them.

All that being said though mate - the recent poll has come under a bit of scrutiny - FFS explains: Scotland on Sunday independence poll (theferret.scot)

I appreciate the thought pal - but honestly I'm not at a point of grief.

All in good time. Nicola will jog on. Mhairi Black will step up and the reaction on here will be hilarious 😁

Didn't know about the other poll 👍

Seriously ? After that bombshell evidence from David Davis last night. Expect arrests to be made shortly up your way as they rightfully should. Shame you don't watch real media and deny everything....now, where have I heard that before in Scotland 🤔 😄

Anyway Humza......

Am I getting media source lectures from Miami? Priceless :) I think you're confusing having a busy week with my media choices. I've barely had time to hear anything than the morning news. Thanks for the poll though fella - I was never denying anything, it is clear that support for independence has dwindled. Time will tell what happens though. I could easily be on the other side of the fence myself come May.

Arrests? You are aware that they are not the only UK party to face allegations of acting unlawfully in recent months?

let's see what the report says in the coming days. If she needs to step down then so be it.

Haha, priceless deflection from a bitter NAT who can't face the truth, like I say....your dictator has taught you well😄 🤣 😂

Show me instances right now where other parties have tried to jail an innocent man ? Yes, Salmond was proven not guilty in a court of law.

If the Salmond farce is taken up as it should be now by the police, there will be prison sentences and rightly so. Even a staunch SNP lover like yourself cannot defend the indefensible, even though your media will talk about hairdressers as the main feed on the 6pm news 🐑

Note - you say you had to time for media stuff etc, but yet you tried to contradict my post re the poll with some outdated shite you obviously looked for......try posting facts and not contradicting your clear lies, thank you. Lesson done for the day.
