I remember Carling Premier being quite nice for the first couple of pints then bloated you like fuck and gave the worst headache hangovers ever. Even worse than DAB.

Never understood the 'Cold' phase, remember my dad complaining about the electricity cost of the blast cooler to make the pint colder 🤣

Came from the same barrel as the regular Guinness, just went through some cold making trickery. Aye. Fucking pointless.

They not do it anymore? I only drank Guinness when there wasn't any decent beer in. Seems that all the pubs I've frequented recently before this covid bollox all have decent beer, so not had a Guinness in ages.

I never liked Guinness till I went to Dublin on a stag do , found a quiet bar out of the way and had a pint in there.

Strangely when I was young certainly till mid 20s was a bitter drinker then moved to Lager. So yes you are right 40 years of lager !
