If folk want to determine there own destiny why shouldn't they have a vote on that matter. Illegal vote what a load of bollocks a law passed by Spanish judges. Why should it be illegal for the Catalonians to vote on their own future?

It's a hypothetical question but I don't think any other government in Western Europe wouldn't have sent in the Police like that. Putin's Russia or somewhere in Asia sure but not a EU member state.

These are different people with different languages and cultures, Madrid closes down pro independence newspapers and political parties but they always reform. You can only hope independence is achieved without bloodshed.
