If and when RoI realise that they can solve the problem at a stroke.

Two genuine questions

1) how ?

2) why would they ?

Ahem.

Whilst I think it was fairly obvious what I meant, I'll paraphrase .......

The issue was there before this years election. It was there at the point of the referendum.

If the Tories had won every single seat in England, the issue would still be there. How can NI stay in, when Scotland, Wales, London, Manchester etc can't. It would break the Union. Likewise If Labour had won every seat. Or we had a rainbow coalition.

The DUP may be the focus of the issue, but its ikely to be the issue that forces a hard Brexit. Ironically, the biggest losers of that might ultimately be Eire.

The issue was there, but the solution has got a whole lot harder due to the need to have DUP support.

My understanding is that the UK and EU today reached a compromise but that the DUP were not happy with it. If the tories had won every seat they could have agreed a position with Europe and passed their legislation, together with said agreed position - even if it pissed off the DUP. Now they have to find a border / access proposal that both the EU and the DUP are happy with.

Total Farce.

Dont expect an answer he can’t google

Leave the EU enabling them to trade freely with their most important trading partner.

For a bright chap, that's a little bit poor

You get the best deal you can and despite us having all the cards, it seems the eu had 4 aces up their sleeve, all along

I never talked about how many cards we had

You might/not say I'm bright, that's your view

I just say enough is enough, from both sides.

Pussyfooting around with knobhead europeans

Would you say though that May and Davies have been piss poor?

Leave the EU enabling them to trade freely with their most important trading partner.

There have been some noises by some Irish political commentators to a similar effect, but

If the last year has showed anything it’s that leaving the EU isn’t as simple as some folk would make out, so that puts the “ stroke of a pen simple solution “ suggestion away, plus, don’t have any figures but why would they give up trading with 26 to trade with 1? Is the trade with Britain, even though the largest, more than the others combined? I genuinely don’t know but find the comment that Ireland should “ simply” leave because Britain has a bit of a daft argument

If that’s the simple solution it’s equally simple for Britain to stay in and trade with everybody is it not ?

We should never have been in this situation, a total and utter shambles, did anybody in the Tory party not think beforehand how to sort the Border situation in Ireland ?

Possibly but they forgot to ask the DUP. Schoolboy error.

Just bang them another Billion to make them happy. :)

The fact remains that all of these issues were clear as day to most and it's just that the powers at be chose to ignore them. How TM could get to a matter of minutes before agreeing a deal and didn't think to call the DUP to get the nod of approval knowing how precious that issue is unforgivable. Can you imagine what chaos will ensue once we get to the really difficult stuff? Although i respect the wishes of the referendum sadly, in my opinion, we will regret this decision for many years to come if not forever

Our issue is not the EU, they seem keen to move on. It's our own government that has an issue. EU must be laughing at themselves.

If the EU are so keen to move on, why is £50billion so important?

Surely they can manage without it if they’re so strong?

How much did they have to give the Greeks?

You don’t say.

You must be revelling in all of the successes that DD and his buddies are managing to secure. Maybe you could remind us of all these stunners, please do share?

The losers in this referendum are involved in all sorts of machinations behind the scenes to prolong things and make things as difficult as possible in the hope that the final response will be 'Fuck it, let's not bother then - it's all too hard'. I am convinced they are hanging on the Irish border problem as their best hope of reversing a democratic decision.

As some of you seem obsessed with cards, it's time to go all in and say 'NI stays British so adios amigos and we'll keep our 40 billion thank you very much'. They have much to lose also.

The longer this goes on, thew more our approach to the talks/settlement etc looks like Bolton's efforts in Lisbon in that ill-fated European campaign

Yes it's definitely all our fault! :-)

Well I wasn't thinking specifically of your good self unless there's something you want to tell the class?

I was thinking more of that treacherous dog Gina Miller, her political cohorts and others like her.

Yeh it's all you remoaners fault for not letting Farage, Gove and co to a proper job. FFS!!
