Good to see the government don't have the 58 impact assessments that David Davies said they had.

This whole thing just goes from one shambles to another

Any other job, he'd get instant dismissal for blatantly lying every day for MONTHS. Yet the cunt will be guffawing away in Parliament tomorrow as normal.

As soon as Davis got the gig, it was never going to end well really. I'd be surprised if anybody thought he was doing a decent job - like May, he needs moving on ASAP

TBF, thats the defination of any politician, of any party.

Help me out

One of the arguments is that we get out more than we put in, right?

So if they want £50billion to "tidy up outstanding monies owed", presumably they owe us a bit more than that in "outstanding monies owed"?

Or are they just going to take the dosh, give it to Greece and we get nothing in return? (apart from blue passports, obvs)

I'm dead confused, me, like.

The UK is a net contributor so we pay more than we get in return

as they will be blamed (rightly or wrongly) for this immense shitstorm that Brexit will eventually turn into

you'd be hard pressed to find a convincing argument not to "blame" them (or hold them to account) for the whole process - the tories instigated it, and now they are carrying it out to the best of their ability

I know, I was trying to be kind......no doubt though, the likes of Mounts and Bolty will shove all the blame onto the EU, and not concede that we're managing to fuck this up, pretty much, all on our own

Surely when calling for us to vote out, part of the consideration was our ability to negotiate our way out favourably? It really is no use blaming other people if you failed to factor this into your decision making process.

Conversely if we had voted to remain the same applies and its quite clear given Cameron and Osborne piss poor attempts, the EU do not want to play ball with the U.K. so its best we left them to it and the sooner the better.

Do you admit we have people incapable of negotiating a good deal and have strarted poking the finger of blame at our politicians.

The EU seem to be winning most of the battles so far.

So we have decided to leave an established Trade Union with developed countries and strong negotiators so our pathetic bunch can go it alone to thrash out a deal with any fucker who will listen and we are paying £40bn to do this.

90% plus of economists said it was madness but Farage likes a pint and Boris has been on Have I Got News For You.

I am not convinced yet.

Lets not forget the EU are no great shakes at negotiating any deals if we do actually leave we only have ourselves to worry about and not 27 nations having to agree on any deal. It wasn't long ago a Belgium district scuppered a trade deal?

If the EU are no great shakes............. This is even more concerning.

It always worried me that anyone sane or of talent steered clear of the PM role after the vote.

It's hardly a ringing endorsement for the future

How much did May pay the DUP to back her up again?

Imo Labour have already won the next election which is frightening in itself

They are meant to be "no great shakes" yet they are screwing us over BIG time!  :shok: Where does that leave us in the hierarchy of negotiators?

As Salford has said, we contribute more funding than we receive back. Direct contributions to Brussels vs direct investment back from Brussels is only 1 piece of the pie

Remainer s (like myself) would argue that we get much more out of it in terms of access to the single market, which we benefit from hugely, particularly in certain industries like car manufacturing and Financial services

Funnily enough a lady from our Polish office was in last week and we discussed Brexit. I asked her how Poland had found membership of the EU. She told me that a lot of Polish businesses had been wiped out as the big players from Western Europe moved into their market (think Nestle, Unilever etc). They had however benefited from some of these big companies re locating some functions out that way. She did also comment on the brain drain as many young Polish people moved west to work and better themselves

I guess every country will have compromises to make as part of being members, on the whole though it’s got to have a positive economic impact being in the bloc. I very much doubt any country would have grown more by not joining the EU but I guess nobody could say for sure either way

Are they? We do not know what the deal is yet. All I’ve heard from the EU is no , no, no, that’s not negotiating in anyone’s language.

Tbf the UK negotiating technique seems to be give us what we want or we're taking our ball home.

Cameron wants hanging up by his scrotum for this.

Yet he somehow managed to swan off into the sunlight, earning a fortune talking bollocks to wankers about a shitstorm that his incompetence created.

as i mentioned, even sugar who is a labour peer, reckons may shouldve fcuked it off after the election to let corbyn fcuk up the exit

cos whoever deals with it cant win

the brexiters wont be happy when they realise england isnt going to be white any time soon and the remainers would point out how shit everything had become and go back to the tories

this way, there is absolutely no deal that may can deliver that will satisfy enough people

shes toast so corbyn gets a free run

thats even worse than selling ourselves down the river for a blue passport and likely to cost even more than the 50 billion we are already in for

Tbf the UK negotiating technique seems to be give us what we want or we're taking our ball home.

we have got all the balls

Worst still is both BREXIT & Corbyn

A chilling prospect for the British Economy

That will deliver at least two decades of shite

Sugar left Labour after the 2015 election.

It is worth noting that whilst the UK as a whole are net EU finacial contributors both Wales and Northern Ireland have been net benefiiciaries.

I found it amazing that a majority of the Welsh voted to leave.

Especially in the valleys where road and building projects have transformed places like Ebbw Vale and Merthyr.

There is absolutely no chance they will getting the same from London in the post Brexit world.

Whilst you might be right, you don't know that for sure. Plenty of statements to that effect from both sides. Guess we'll find out in years to come

Are they? We do not know what the deal is yet. All I’ve heard from the EU is no , no, no, that’s not negotiating in anyone’s language.

They are indeed. The EU set the timetable of what we had to agree before we could move to trade talks - we gave in. We initially refused to pay anything for the divorce bill yet we end up paying €50b. We try and set up preliminary talks with potential trade partners but we get slapped down until we leave the EU. Some senior politicians suggested at the outset we could cherry pick our freedoms and reject the rest so now we acknowledge that the EU have said "No" to that and we will leave the single market and customs union.

This is all before we start the trade talks...i think you can see now who are the better negotiators

True but I know what my money is on. Statements by politicians are one thing, the EU actually delivered!

It delivered chaos with the Euro and chaos with Schengen. And I am a Remainer..
