Boro spent a fortune in the summer, including a £15m striker, while we've got a midfield including the likes of Pratley & Deryk who can't cover the defence, can't win or retain posession in midfield, can't create chances & would struggle in div 1.

 

It's not defeatist but accepting reality to guess that we're unlikely to win this one, but when we can pick our best team against the weaker sides, we can still pick up the points to reach the giddy heights of 4th from bottom. This Saturday, i'm hoping for the best but ready for the worst !!

Surely from the evidence of the first five games Parky will see this wing back system isn't working and stick four at the back. If he does that, I quite fancy us to get a point. If not, I fear the worst.

What should players & management have learnt & how do we approach it differently ?  However PP shuffles the players or tactics, it remains a bunch of free transfers & loanees ( missing some of our better players ) against multi million pound players.

 

There can be exceptions or cup shocks but with such a financial imbalance,  a rich club will beat paupers in the vast majority of games.

Did you see the defending against hull and derby? We weren't being outclassed by the big boys

I haven't go a Scooby , it feels like the season is starting again but without the optimism that I went to Millwall with. Somehow we must at least get a draw.
