Is this linked to a computer game at all? It sounds like it

Bit of both, he's not been as good for Belgium as he has for Roma, so that's why he's not been included and why his rating his way lower than his normal(club) rating.

That applies to their whole squad

How would you say they have done since the quarter finals v Wales? they had an easy WC qualifiying group, won 9 out of 10, scoring 43 goals, 13 goals in 5 friendlies.

They should go very far, our game v them will probably be a top of the table decider, it could come down to goals v Panama and Tunisia.

Still got absolutely no faith that Martinez can organise a defence, and neither have their sports writers.

Excellent going forward though, could be a 3-3 job when we meet. But past Last 16 they’re in trouble against the best.

Read that Nainggolan has only been selected 3 times in the last 18 months.

As for Belgium - their best set of players ever and they pick Martinez to manage them, laughable really

Kane confirmed captain.

I really like Kane and really hope he can deliver for England like he has for Spurs. But does the lad really need the hassle of being captain as well as our best (only) goal threat? So now he'll be under twice as much scrutiny as he would without it.

For me i'd give it to Henderson, not that i rate him anywhere near as highly but he'd at least deflect some of the media spotlight off Kane and he's a sound enough lad to handle the responsibility.

Henderson is Liverpool captain, Cahill is Chelsea captain I'd give it to either of those 2 over Kane.

It seems odd; a little young and inexperienced to me... Perhaps he is a great motivator, and has obviously overcome communication issues in the past. Maybe it's time we challenge the norm, because it hasn't worked for a long time

Kane getting it is a good call imo. He is the most inspirational in that team.

I think the captaincy isn't that big an issue but of all on the squad I'd class him as the leader

Is he? I'm struggling to see that. We don't have a proper leader in there clearly. I don't like strikers being captains generally as I think often its a distraction. My gut feel is Kane feels pressure when playing for England so I'm not sure this will help.

Fuck mop, i agree with you for once!! :blum: I too can only see the additional responsibility on him as a burden.

He'll say the right thing " its an honour".... "can't waiting to lead my country"... etc but we should be freeing the lad up to do the business with his feet not loading him further.

A poor decision by GS IMO.

Gary Cahill has captained Chelsea and just won the FA Cup. I wouldn't say he's a leader, but why can't he captain it? He's experienced, the most experienced we've got and certainly I think would cope with the pressure more easily.

Henderson will be captain in the champions league final.

Since the fall of international football probably the biggest game in the world

Henderson is soft as shite though.

Cahill for me. Either ahead of Kane.

Want to see more from Ali this time. Flattered to deceive somewhat so far.

And is a right petulant little cunt at times.

He's been a shadow of the player for England.

He's a classic case of a player who needs special players around him to make things happen. In an average side, what has he got that is special?

Cahill would be a good shout, but he's not likely to be playing I wouldn't have thought, unless there are injuries
