Any recommendations if so, only issue is will be a Gatwick flight and last time I did that was to save about £40 on a european tour match.

Then a South Pacific odyssey; LA, Fiji, Auckland, Cook Islands, LA from Boxing Day

If you've researched Auckland fair enough but there ain't much here! It's a nice city and there's some great offshore islands, but Auckland itself is pretty dull.

If you're after typical NZ, get a flight to Queenstown.

Costa Del Sol for the duration of the World Cup.

Beltin'

Magaluf for the WC, Thai/Singapore/Malaysia in August, Tenerife in October & Thai again in Dec.

Bulgaria next week to sofia and Majorca in August

I'd a few days in Prague in February, 8 days in Turkey at Easter.

I'm flying to Florida for 15 days in August and then onto the Dominican Republic for 8 days from there.

Not booked October half-term trip yet.

AFH

Another for Bulgaria here. Sunny Beach for the first time since 2005. Will be there for the second weekend of the season.

You will miss the first home game of the season

Alkmaar today watching little un compete against some of the best in Europe- ok not much of a holiday but it involves some r&r.

St Ives Bay in a month, then hopefully Algarve in October...

Might hang back and save for a 40th blow out next year.

I'm in Budapest at the moment, what a great city this is.

Bali booked for June now - so usual recommendations welcome! :)

We're doing 4 days in Bali, 3 days on Gili Air, onto Lombok for a week, then having 3 days in Singapore.

In Bali we're splitting our time between Ubud and Sanur before getting the quick boat to the Gilis.

Booked algarve for summer fly back on 4th August so hope it’s a home game

Ubud is probably the only place I'd be interested in going back to in Bali. Sanur is ok, fairly non-descript really, but at least you'll get the sea that's missing in Ubud. I would have recommended Seminyak, if only for the sunsets, over Sanur. The restaurants in Seminyak are top notch (and top dollar too). If I was going out on a limb I'd sack Sanur off and spend 3 in Ubud and one in Padang Bai (good diving) before heading to Gili Air.

Never went to Lombok (apart from Gili's), couldn't be arsed with the anti-malarials but I guess Rinjani is in your sights which would be amazing. Gili T is a massive let down, bar the diving.

My main recommendation for Ubud is get a moped and get to Tegenungan Waterfall.

We've got 3 nights in Ubud and just the 1 night in Sanur. I looked at Padang Bai but the missus didn't fancy it so we plumped for Sanur and got recommended a good hotel, plus and its not too far the fast boat before we go to Gili's.

Gili Air comes highly recommended by a couple of people i know. Gili T was never in my sights, just didn't fancy it. Did all that back in Thailand 15 years ago.

In Lombok we're staying (as feasibily) close to Mount Rinjani for a couple of nights, doing a bit of trekking then working south to explore the coast.

Sounds like you've got it sussed then. There are certainly worse places in the world than Sanur. There's a two table restaurant you'll find on the reviews, very worth a visit at breakfast. Can't remember the name.

Northumberland and Scotland. Not sure when the world cup starts; hadn't thought about that.

3 loony collies in tow so needed somewhere quietish with ample exercise space.

Maspolomos in January, Got back from Fuertuventura on Sunday, Nerja in 2 weeks, Lefkas last week in June first week in July, nothing booked for August, Back to Lefkas middle 2 weeks in September for the Regatta, Jollyboys to Benidorm in October, last 4 days of December in Havana, first 11 days of January in Varadero. Still got to sort my holidays for August and November but I'm open to suggestions

6 of us off to Russia in 2 cars, 2 of us are flying back from Gdansk after the group games due to A/L and cost, rest of them are staying for the duration, IF England get to the final we'll go back out as we have tickets for the final, then I have to look at taking the missus away, thinking of going back to Malta for a week

Rome for a week next month, long weekend in the Lakes in august and south Africa in October. Can't come soon enough and I'll be trying to avoid the world cup

Booked algarve for summer fly back on 4th August so hope it’s a home game

My plans aren't too dissimilar to that. I'll probably have a night in Kuta for a laugh - couple in Seminyak - Canggu - Ubud - Sanur for a night then Lombok and Gili Air which seems to be everyone's first choice now.

I usually like to leave accommodation till I arrive and play it by ear. Can you do that in Bali the same way you can in Thailand?

Also considering getting Air Asia to Jakarta for a couple of nights. Why not for £90?

If you want a beach holiday you're going to the right place.

If your flying Tui from Gatwick then I presume your looking at an AI package?

Main Built up beach is Palm beach, aka  the high rise. One long strip of American chain hotels, all with their own beach front section.

It is full of yanks but they tend to be more 'high end' and not too obnoxious. Moomba beach bar next to the holiday inn is a good spot if you're not in one of the palm beach hotels.

I much prefer Eagle beach about 1 mile south of Palm beach. This area is called the low rise, all around 3 or 4 storeys max and set the other side of the road from the beach, loads of free cabanas to get under. Voted as one of the 10 best beaches in the world on trip advisor. My favourite spot is just near Manchebo beach resort. Very laid back, and there is a small shopping complex doing decent sandwiches, salads and cold drinks near there. Watch out for the turtle nests! If you're looking at July you're still in hatching season.

Down the south of the island, Baby beach is good for a daytrip. If you do go there and want some really rustic fish dining - the zeerover restaurant is great to call on the way back.

The menu is limited to what they have just caught.

De palm island is a good day trip but quite expensive.

Cuckoo kunuku party buses are ok for a night.

Your return flight is overnight landing early morning back to Gatwick. My suggestion is book a travelodge or something cheap nearby for that morning, it's a fucker driving 5 hours back North
