Pricey Posted June 17, 2019 Posted June 17, 2019 See Lee Bowyer set to become clubless. Done a decent job at Charlton
JJ10 Posted June 17, 2019 Posted June 17, 2019 Lee Bowyer would be a good appointment. Got Charlton promoted in difficult circumstances. League 1 experience. Certainly a better option than David Lee.

Done a decent job at Charlton interesting statement from the club on the situation - be good to see the actual numbers to see if he was on fuck all to begin with, or if he wants a daft amount: Charlton's statement added it would not be "good business practice" to offer Bowyer a long-term deal and a big wage increase when the Addicks were losing money and a new owner could be in place in a few weeks. It continued: "Lee has been offered a one-year extension to his contract at a level which is approximately three times what he had since his last increase when he became permanent manager in September. "This reflects the strong desire we have to continue to have Lee as our manager. But Lee wanted much more. "The owner (Roland Duchatelet) understands Lee's point of view, because many Championship clubs pay huge amounts to their manager. It is fair that Lee feels he should be paid like many other Championship managers."

Nowack Posted June 17, 2019 Posted June 17, 2019 I would not be surprised if Brett Warburton was involved, very much in the background but he will be around.

Breightmet Boy Posted June 17, 2019 Posted June 17, 2019 Some people are not understanding the situation, we need not just to build a team, we need to build trust of other clubs and potential signings. Its possibly going to take a while to let the foundations to set before we lay a single brick here. Standards are low at The Unibol, let's not get giddy with our achievements in the late 90's till 2010.
