gonzo Posted July 2, 2019 Posted July 2, 2019 Folk having a pop at the administrator for lack of clarity or bigger statement. They aren’t the fucking owners for Christ’s sake. Think that @jayjay2345 is going to have a nervous breakdown on twatter.

Agreed, if you read the finer detail this is still a long way from a conclusion.

Apparently the admins have been sending out morse code messages saying that FV = Ken Anderson and the ghost of Eddie Davies. Sharon Brittan is Bassini wearing a mask and fake tits and Lee Anderson is already being offered the manager's job. Its the fine details you need to watch....

I'd have settled for them to spend £20 million then we had a chance of giving Blackburn and Preston a match in 3 seasons time, but they don't even seem to be at that level

We don't even know where the cash is coming from. Iles said a while ago its from an "equity fund".

I don't give a shiney shit as long as we've still got a club that's stable for the time being
MichaelEP Posted July 2, 2019 Posted July 2, 2019 Sharon brittain has assets of over £80million and I'm not sure about the rest. I guess depends on how much they can get hold of or are willing to spend. Surely they must have a plan

gonzo Posted July 2, 2019 Posted July 2, 2019 Blackpool have a budget that’s puts them in the top five in the league according to their new owner. JSL
birch-chorley Posted July 2, 2019 Posted July 2, 2019 I’d imagine it’s safe to assume we won’t be doubling £20m on the playing budget, equity fund yes but wasn’t the total fund £100m? Small beer as equity funds go Also, I doubt new owners would be bringing the likes of MJ in as partners with debt to equity deals if they were then going to throw money at players I imagine it’s more about car parks with this lot, the football stuff will likely be a side show that needs to wash its own face (or get close) At least the wage bill is down to next to nothing, a clean start! Our football turnover should give us a playing budget in the top 6 or so, hopefully we can be competitive for a change
Marc505 Posted July 2, 2019 Posted July 2, 2019 Maybe come out of all this with fans enlightened to the fact that where we're at now, cash they spend on tickets, merch etc is vital to us instead of finding any excuse to stay away and just expecting it to be alright and moaning when it's not. A get out what you put in sort of mentality.

I think its clear we're not being taken over by billionaires - but a consortium backed up by an equity fund sounds more stable than a lone individual who buys us for a quid. The only way to profit from a club is to bring success on the field and sell it whilst its high.

If the argument was about paying players - they are still unpaid. Admin prior to March would have ensured we suffered -12 points that season and would have had new owners in place for May/June and able to pay the players. The reason it was delayed is because KA did not want to put the club into admin for whatever reason and EDT were unwilling to step in until it was 100% a solvent sale was impossible and admin the only way to prevent liquidation. I'm unconvinced that anyone is to blame for the delay other than KA.

Anyone who views the footballing side of the business as an attractive proposition just on the cusp of delivering success and the pots of gold that come with it are a bigger basket case than what the club itself has become. Everything we have is viewed as a bigger and better asset than the team itself. The ground, hotel etc etc whilst being the things that were killing us have also saved our life. Because if it was a sale purely based on the ‘club’ no sane person would touch it
tomski Posted July 2, 2019 Posted July 2, 2019 Nobody knows what the next few weeks have in store for us let alone the next few years.

If I recall correctly it was more about the level of debt and the paying of that with the 25p in the £ because no sane person would touch us with the proverbial barge pole given the debt highlighted in DD....

I mean I'm not sure how or why delaying admin for 3/4 months "kept us alive".
