Where are you Saturday for our biggest game of the season again? #missuswon’tlethimgo

  • Agreed with that. Even if he only lasts 60, the threat Verlinden provides going forward will be vital to hopefully put us in front and keep the moaners onside. Can't imagine it will be a pleasant

Someday someone is going to get a right tonking off us. Hope it's Saturday.

I don't think Bridcutt's distribution and passing are anywhere near as good as some make out and he definitely looks a bit lost playing cb. If they'd have been any good at all and able to use that number 7 who looked like a sunday leaguer but was anything but then we'd have been in a world of shit but they aren't any good and couldn't.

Thought Murphy L actually did ok today and that was the highest rating I could give anyone and thought the liner had the offside right for our second but would need to see the highlights.

Angry man was back in the stands today and was on tremendous form, I'm torn between killing him and thinking its better he gets it all out on a Saturday.

I kind of get the Bridcutt at centre half thing, because it's good to have a ball playing defender rather than the aimless hoofs we've been treated to for so long. However, as he's tiny, anything over the top is going to cause issues, especially when his CB partner isn't, as Casino sad, a heading machine.

But I'm not fussed, its a very welcome three points. We don't have to write the season off JUST yet.

But then he's playing as a defensive midfielder instead of a centre half and we're playing with an out and out defender missing.

We took our chances today for a change .

Looked poor in defence when crosses came in

looked much better when going forward.

three very valuable points

Result gives us a glimmer of hope for the rest of the season. Results needed to start coming in a week or two to make it anything other than highly unlikely though!

Aye he did, what I was trying to say was if you looked at him you might think he was a fat meaty useless fucker but he was anything but.

First time we scored 3 goals in a league game since the great escape v Forest

And first time we've won after going a goal down since March 2017 v Northampton

Matthews was shite today. He stayed on his line for the first goal when he should have been dominating the 6 yard box. Seemed slow going down for the second too. Kicking poor.

Only time we have looked comfortable this season was when Hobbs and Wright were together and Bridcutt was in midfield.

It’s three points though so I don’t get all the negative comments.

Fuck me, we’re lucky to have a team.

I’d be more worried about Bridcutt’s lack of  height at the back if we were conceding headed goals from open play, but at set pieces we should be more than strong enough with D Murphy coming back and Wright already there. Cut out the soft goals we’re conceding from set pieces and suddenly we look pretty formidable at home.

Beaut of a finish from D Murphy for the third goal, real touch of quality. Thought Darcy was excellent and, having done well in the last home game, is showing a decent rate of progression which is very encouraging.

Dodoo is still a bit of an enigma in terms of either getting top drawer or utter shite, sometimes even in the same movement, but I don’t think it would do him a disservice to describe him as a harder working version of Sammy Ameobi.

On Radio Manc they were waxing lyrical about Verlinden, but to me he’s still all fur and no knickers and I’m not particularly expecting Stoke to recall him.

Get Bridcutt shipped out of that defence as soon as fucking possible.

He was doing ok when he played in  midfield, he's just too small to be a central defender.

Whose negative comments don't you get, our collective observations or yours?

Verlinden is our best player.... by a country mile.

First 30 minutes absolutely dog shit

Then for some reason we started to press and work the ball

If dodoo hadn't scored when he did the atmosphere would of turned a bit nasty as fans were already beginning to get pissed off with the shite being dished out me being one of them

Would like to see their number 7 up too for us. Like a mixture of Kevin Davies and Lee Trundle for the lower leagues.

Cannavaro is 5’7

Bridcutt isn’t a CB but it’s not because of his height.
Hes just much better in the middle of the park with the ball on the deck

I would have taken a 1-0 95th min shit flicker winner, but we scored three good goals and conceded two shite ones.

Their winger (11) wasn't that bad either.

Couldn't go

Still not seen us win

Going to Shrewsbury but probably not Burton

We'll draw/lose then win, probably

Did he have shin pads on?

Hills been dealt a very shit hanf

When you've got shit cards you need to play any good ones well

Anyway, absolutely massive result and credit to the manager for that at least

Their 7 looks a player

Just let go by Fulham, born in Bury

In fact, quite a few of theirs looked to have a decent touch

Noticed flitcroft chatting heartily with him at full time. Presumably he'll be on a contract so that would rule us out of tapping him up.

Second half, I thought Bridcutt did really well against their striker(s).

We clearly struggle on set pieces and I was a bit surprised they didn't try putting more crosses in.

Bridcutt could work at the back as one of three, but less so as one of two.

Did he have shin pads on?

Im guessing so as it's the rules but on first glance I thought he might have just put a ciggie out and had a copy of the Thompson Local down each sock.
