Course they’ve rushed it in early because of Dom. Surely we can all see that?

Maybe

But, it might be for the best

If we fail, it won't be because of the Government, but the people.

We, the people, know what to do and what not to do

Nonsense

Other countries fined people if they left their house without a permit

Some did everything in their power to make sure no one floughted the rules

Ours did a u turn on herd immunity then "urged" folk to stay at home, then pretended it didn't matter when one of their own got caught out, then let everyone crack on well before it was totally safe to do so

Well, everyone has a right to their opinion, even if it is nonsense

Of course

But at least justify it

We're already the biggest euro failures as we exit the first wave, so at least tell us why that's our fault

Hang on, some posters would rather blame the population as a whole, rather than the elected parliament to get us though this crisis?

We rightly are the 51st state the with this mentality. Thankfully we have enough people in this country to keep this nonsense in check.

Zero. Fucks. Given.

Dorset has an older population too, I'd be fucking terrified if I was a pensioner there

Hi

I was talking more about the future, for context.

But, at this this juncture, we know what we need to do/don't do, so it is up to us, individually, to take responsibility, day in day out. Many are/some aren't.

If we don't, then it doesn't matter what the Govt do unless they decide to take a Chinese/authoritarian stance. I don't think that would work here.

Lead by example would be one option and not excuse breaking the rules.

I've mostly kept out of that shrill conversation.

Although my summary was that he should be sacked, or resign.

As should Maitlis.

But that's how its been since day one

The lockdown message was clear

Yet

Some leaders brag about shaking hands with the inflected and nearly die

Some tell everyone what they need to do, they don't bother themselves and pretend its ok

So is it fair to say our failure so far is due to leadership, but now they've fucked up its on us?

Or do you blame the people for where we find ourselves right now?

Thank you.

If someone there tests positive next week. What do they tell the tracers?

Nobody can tell me that’s not the people who are there that are at fault?

Aye you would have a totalitarian state.

We were given some trust, some didn't and couldn't give a fuck, it was always going to be the case whovever was in Government and whatever lockdown procedures were put in place. Works both ways imo.

No I wouldn’t, good grief some folk have either never picked a book up,   listened after school or like simplistic answers to issues that are beyond their understanding.

Just so they can shout on a football forum.

When they announced this latest release of the lockdown I never for 1 minute thought about it being used to deflect because of that weaselly little cunt Cummings.

I thought it was because the warm weather would be a deterrent to the virus. Read somewhere that it can't thrive in warm weather....

Thought JVT was good. He's no puppet for any government. Would be a mistake to not have him on again 👍

Of course, but that neither justifies others doing it, nor having been doing it well before Dom went for his eye test.

I see the Moors are on fire again, up at Darwin.

I'd wager that some cunt has set fire to the grass. They don't need the government to tell them not to to know they shouldn't.

Yet, by following the advice of the medical chaps via the government many of us have managed to stay clear.

Not as cut and dried as that, but you get the point.

Works both ways.

There's been a group of households on a street near me having regular street parties, no proper distancing the works.

I really don't understand what they would expect the government to do differently to protect them.

They had a big fire up there on Wednesday. It's Darwen by the way.

Is there another one today?

Right at the start they said it’ll die off in the warmer weather. Since then, they’ve been telling us how it is different to every other virus and nobody knows for sure what will happen so maybe the “it’ll die off in warmer weather” was more a hope than a knowledgable response.
