That was one of the loveliest things to ever happen. Stood in my garden sobbing like a baby! Proud to work for the NHS 👏👏👏👏❤️

Ok slightly different views.  As far as I see on guidelines if contacted you isolate but only test if symptoms ?
Would have thought the obvious thing would be to get a test.

Possibly that’s the case in England but up here if you are contacted by a contact tracer you will be offered a test as standard. To me that seems sensible and we can then get those who don’t have it back to work otherwise we just end up in a constant circle.

sturgeon et al I think have this bit spot on bearing in mind the technological restrictions we all have

Based on everything we are seeing now does anyone think we won’t get a spike in 2-3 weeks ?

The hope has to be warm weather restricts it somewhat.

I don’t think we’ll get a spike in 2/3 weeks

Think we'll definitely get a slow down in the slowdown. If we've not already got one.

It was the lack of a test if contacted that seemed strange down here.

Agreed. We have capacity so let’s use it. And let’s get folk back to work if they don’t have it is my take on it

Mate who works at Bolton Hospital been told they may have to prepare for upswing in CV admission in July. All ops cancelled

Have they found some more postmen?

I don't know, have they?

I'm not entirely sure that was what was promised or what it even means

Tomatoes/tomatoes

Either way, the UK government met their own target......

If you use track and trace and report symptoms are you then on SSP for 2 weeks and potentially close down a small/medium business due to contact tracing ?

Not really though, if you read it. There were 115K tests done yesterday

On fewer than 100,000 people, in all likelihood.

And numbers on how many people have been tested per day have been unavailable for nine days now.

Not that's not something that I've head. Quite the opposite. Elective operations are slowly opening back up.

I've not been in since Friday though and things can change quite quickly. Be surprised if this is the case though. I'll let you know tomorrow! 👍

Compared to how many who’ve asked to be tested or should’ve been that is the key here though?
I would guess we are testing everyone that wants/requires one certainly the case up here and we are at about 2k a day

My old man spent 6 days in Warrington hospital last week, he's not got Covid 19, but he needs to have his gallbladder out sharpish, he was pissing blood and had white stools at one point. He wanted to pay privately to have his operation but was told by the hospital, he doesn't have to bother paying for the operation himself as the NHS are using the Spire hospital for his operation, so that's saved him a few grand I'd imagine.

Well judging by the news reports round here everyone under the age of 25 has moved on and decided that it is time to party.
