only1swanny Posted December 26, 2020 Posted December 26, 2020 People breaking the rules are dicks. At least 250 families had to deal with a family member dying, hundreds more are going to be suffering from long covid. Quote
Casino Posted December 27, 2020 Posted December 27, 2020 A 1000 people die every day Its often tragic But people still die Quote

This all still seems a pointless exercise if folk are dying of covid but they've dodged dying of influenza. Quote
green genie Posted December 27, 2020 Posted December 27, 2020 https://fingertips.phe.org.uk/static-reports/mortality-surveillance/excess-mortality-in-england-latest.html Figures were only 10% above normal at beginning of the month. Quote

The lockdown and social distancing rules are not ‘Covid exclusive’ so the fact people are having less contact, wearing masks etc will reduce the transmission of other things such and other types of flu. You could argue ( I am not btw) that we if flu deaths have dropped so dramatically in this period we should enforce these rules permanently. Would help if the rules were a bit clearer. As mentioned above looks like we have gone above the three household rule, but if kids who do not live with their parents are allowed to see both parents we just about scrape in. Quote

Horwich Posted December 27, 2020 Posted December 27, 2020 The trafford centre should be closed. It isn’t essential and its just full of bellends telling everyone on social media that they are there. If we are testing 500,000 a day, can we not give vaccines to similar numbers? Quote

Vaccines to be ramped up to 2m/week very soon Quote

My point was meant to be we do not know what the numbers would have been for other things such as flu without a lockdown. Quote

MickyD Posted December 27, 2020 Posted December 27, 2020 (edited) No exaggeration. Go to the 24 hour McDonalds drive through at Astley Bridge at a time before the night crew are allowed to go outside picking wrappers up. Go during Ramadan and most will be Filet o Fish. Traf Posted December 30, 2020 Posted December 30, 2020 breaking the rules / loopholes / going to Liverpool for "business meetings" / going to away games in a lower Tier All are exactly the same thing and this inconsiderate, ignorant, selfish behaviour is helping the virus spread. Nobody is exempt, do as you're fucking told FFS. Quote
