Eight people, including six Asian women, were killed in shootings at three different businesses in Atlanta and Acworth, Georgia, on Tuesday, according to local police. A male suspect was arrested and charged with several counts of murder on Wednesday, police said. At a press conference in Atlanta on Wednesday, authorities identified the four victims killed in Cherokee County.

Can't think what was going through his brain seeing his son on the footage and having to confront him.

Free speech is free speech, so I fully support his right to say what he thinks, not least to embarrass himself (in my opinion). Good riddance to his toxic divisive racist misogynistic ramblings.  Not a bright chap (in my opinion).

The issue in a nutshell. 

All those "qualities" are loved by some and deplored by some.

For some, some of his beliefs are agreed with, others aren't.

Whichever group you're in, do his beliefs automatically mean he's a genius or, on the other hand "not bright"?

No.

For me, being willing to stand up, expose himself to debate, questioning and criticism, face to face, takes some guts and in no small part ability.
