Reasons for no new ones related to greenies objections by any chance? Should never be water shortages in the UK as a whole. I could see how the south might have problems from time to time but the north of England? Quote

According to the Express no new ones built for 30 years. Quote

Pouring sewage into it might be the real issue They’re both equally important issues. Plenty experts saying we’re at serious risk of not having enough. Europe is warming at a much faster rate than the rest of the world and many in the UK wrongly assume we’re safe. Get those emissions down, something we’re far more likely to do once the Tories are gone. Fixing the leaks and new reservoirs is a must for now. Nationalisation isn’t always the answer but these companies have done little for our water system and need to start being held to account. Edited June 25, 2023 by London Wanderer Quote
Site Supporter Winchester White Posted June 25, 2023 Site Supporter Posted June 25, 2023 The privatisation of water companies is a disaster. Absolutely no competition and piss poor regulation. If anyone can give a better appraisal, I am all ears. Quote
