A View From The Other Side

I realise some of you may have zero interest in this which is fair enough but from time to time I like to have a snoop on OppositionWays out of curiosity. Thought it was worth compiling some together which I'll do in this thread whenever I get chance.

Seems like Lincoln have some pretty level headed fans but then one or two absolutely bitter fuckers.

Pick of the bunch includes:

THE BITTER

Quote

How about 10 points deducted for every £million of debt a club has?
Wonder just how low these perennial cheats would drop?

Quote
Bolton stayed in Lincoln last night. Not leaving much to chance.

No that was so they could rack up extra debt.

Quote

Surely we can't lose to these cheats?
Why are they not on multiple minus points?

Quote

I'd rather be us than them. How long do they have to pay their debt?

Quote

The simple truth is, as much as the away fans won't want to admit it, we lost to one of those vile clubs tonight. One of those that has spent beyond their means, and clearly continues to do so.

THE PRAISE

Quote

Good game. Shit result.
By the standards of last season Bolton should be pushing for promotion. But then that was last season.

Quote

Beaten by the better team. Good to see a big away following.

Quote

FT. Good game. Credit to Bolton - they did enough to control the game throughout, although we had some bright moments, especially in the first half. They also scored at exactly the right time and managed the game out.

Quote

Bolton also look like a really good side who should be in the top half of the table.

Quote

I have backed Bolton to win the league as I think they are a decent team. They looked like a very settled team that are used to winning.

He got us out of league one, kept us in the Championship against the odds & only really failed when the ship was sinking financially. Yes he was a little direct & predictable, but I wish

I love it we're being called cunts again - on and off the pitch.

Altogether now “No one likes us, we don’t care” 😀

Sometimes all we need is a mass brawl and the air that we breathe because we love you.

Yeh that was probably Bolty 😀

I was trying to be incognito. False beard, beach towel and treating the game as a mere trifle. FFS, I don't know why I go to so much trouble 😉

Sounds like you all had a very memorable day out. I can see this pissy little outfit becoming another Trampmere to us. No class no marks. The sooner they are non league again the better.

Cast your mind back lads, these are the same comments we used to get in the 70's and 80's when we went away to all the local clubs. They haven't seen away supporters completely take over a town and stadium as we do. I remember Preston, Blackpool, Oldham etc all moan about "vile Bolton". So they don't like us, who gives a shit. Morecambe probably has had it's biggest cash injection in the town in it's history

Theres some real passion surrounding our club at the moment which Morecambe fans just don’t get.

Theres more life in a bag of frozen shrimps than them fuckers, it was the worst home support i’ve seen for years.

Jealousy is the reason for their bitter hatred.

Fuck ‘em

Hard to take anyone who has a prawn as their badge seriously but that was a good read. Cheers Matty

GCSE writing project has been posted, couple of things stand out

"I had walked from nearby Regent Park and got talking to a Bolton fan of about my own age who complained about the brutal way his team play these days."

And

"You know in advance what to expect from any Ian Evatt side: in the image of their Manager, they are big, aggressive and will bully you if you let them."

I honestly don't know what some fans see when they watch football, it is nuts

Just bitter and twisted fans that's all.  To make stories up about kids n women being abused and chaps in mobility scooters turned over is pathetic, a really bitter slur on our club and fans.   Sad, pathetic morons who make stories up should be lobbed in Rudys volcano

Wtf :D

I’d love to see us bully someone, but that’s never happened.

Let’s be honest, all the Morcambe fans also support Manu or Liverpool as well.

So why wasn't he at Goodison for Frank Lampards first game then?

I’m sure he will be one who takes great pride in supporting his ‘local team’ though he supports Everton ha

They (the Morecambe fans) undoubtedly all have Morecambe as a local team along with their Premier League team. They live far enough from a ‘big’ team that it seems reasonable to split your loyalties. A concept I struggle with really. Who the fuck supports two teams? And what happens if they’re drawn together in the cup?

Tbf I do understand it a little more with clubs like Morecambe or Fleetwood who would have never dreamed of ever being a league club, never mind managing it for so long and even escaping the bottom division. Takes a long time to change that.

He'd have loved the last few years then, when we were generosity  personified.

We've been crying out for a Ged Taggart, Andy Todd or Paul Warhurst to knock people about.

We haven't bullied, and certainly not been brutal and I'd be very surprised if any fan that went to aways complained if we were a bit 'forceful' on occasions.

id read brutal as non stop running

and that i could believe somebody saying...but not to be complaining about it

Loads of folk support Athy Colls and BWFC.  Given how close we came to a relegation scrap for the National League its not impossible that we could meet one day at that level (thankfully that now seems pie in the sky but not so a year ago).  I get the attraction of having a none league club to support as well as league, and that's Fleetwood/Morecambe/Accy's natural level, along with Forest Green,  Harrogate, Sutton etc.

From Morecambe FC - fans’ page

My son got pointed at by a grown woman Bolton fan who gobbed off at him calling him a dirty bastard as we walked Christie way quickly got him home he is only 14
