Not going again to see GnR - London Stadium outstanding, Download best ever, Tottenham rubbish. Been round too many times now. Would have thought about it if Public Enemy where on the UK dates.

As for NIN, saw them at Brixton but the other half is a huge huge fan so no doubt we'll be going (I've already refused to buy the tickets) My only hope is that Ministry will support as they cancelled on us and they are a bazillion times better than Trent's mob (we do often sadly argue about this)

The big one for me now I'm stuck in the arse end of nowhere is that Thus Love are ending their tour in Ramsgate the weekend before my birthday so all in for that.

Thought P.O.D. were shite when they supported Skindred. Even their 3 nu metal classics were disjointed and badly played.

Papa Roach are always amazing live one of my favorite live acts.

GnR have been both awesome and awful when I've seen them. Get a few beers in and enjoy a sing along or laugh at the car crash as axl throws a tantrum.

I've got loads lined up Bullet For My Valentine and Trivium 1st next week in the posh seats at the Co-op

I saw P.O.D when they toured with Alien Ant Farm a few years back, they sounded good then so maybe you caught them on an off-day.

Bullet should be a top gig - not been to the Co-Op yet but heard its a great venue!

Having a drink with the missus tonight in the pub next to band on the wall in Manchester, then all of a sudden Mani from the stone roses comes and sits with us

A mate ended up drinking with him in Malmaison one night

He got all the drinks all night and put them on room 56 or whatever

Then at the end he said right I'm off home

Are you not staying here?

No

Who's in room 56 then?

No idea, bye

To be fair I once went for a meal at that Malmasion, it was awful. Told the manager I was a food reviewer for The Scotsman and instead of a bad review he gave me and the Mrs free cocktails all night.

Fuck knows why I did it, but it worked and the food was still crap.

What was he like? He always seems like a nice bloke.

Me and my mate kidnapped him in Manumission once - but we were a bit to worse for wear to properly converse! 😁

Can't see it selling out at these prices, jeez

Didn't think it was too bad - £70 odd each - ok-ish seats.

To be honest it just going to be a load of smoke and white lights. Saw them at Brixton stood pretty close to the stage and could hardly see them 😁

I was just moaning about being asked to pay £57 for Echo and the Bunnymen at Piece Hall. It's a great venue but seems only yesterday (probably pre lockdown) they were playing Bury Met for £15.

Dear Mr Echo...

Dear Mr Echo...

Pretty good that really for a heritage band at a venue like that and it seems all their GA tickets for whatever artist are the same price so I don't know if they try and make sure no one hikes them up to high?

He was a top bloke. After he dined with L/H White, he came into Band on the Wall to watch Purple Hearts and Secret Affair. I had a good chat with him about his time in a re-incarnation of The Damned, playing what Rat & Brian at the 100 Club. Told me The Damned were the first band he ever saw live as a kid.

A couple of my mates also went over to chat with him, mentioned their time at Empress Ballroom, quick as a flash, Mani replied, “I did 2 e’s before the gig started, it was a weird, weird night”.

Top bloke. He should do after dinner speaking!!

Top that! I'd be up for 'An Evening with Mani' if you can persuade him 😁

Not in Crawley can sell the tickets!

Got some great venues he could do it at.

I know a few producers who earn a ton doing those 'evening with Aggers' stuff - always sell about 80% of the house with very little marketing.

My kind of gig 😁

Yeah Smiley. You've had a selfie with him, so you're basically his agent now. Sort it out for the pair of prancers.

Haha, didn’t post the pic with me and my new mate Mani!

He’s retired from the business. Said he’s happy just being with his kids. Probably had a hard time of it with his Mrs passing away and mates like Andy Rourke and Paul Ryder.
