I've been thinking about how I'd feel about Evatt if he managed a club that already boils my piss. Looks like a bastard, always talks up his side, tells everyone they're the best side in the division

  • My son's first proper match with his mates, and no daft old Dad in tow. He went to the Liverpool game last night. 9 of them all ballooning down the Migglebrook 🙂  The next gen of hoolies. He

  • Thanks, chaps, for the retorts.  Yep, I thought twice about the post but I guess that most of us, whatever our age, wouldn’t want to hear that they would come and push our fans around. Them

Textbook Argo as well so lump on.

We're so much better on counter and susceptible to breaks so wouldn't be huge surprise

Only players I thought played well for us today were Gordon and MJ, the rest were poor

Fuckery fucking piss bastard sticks.

Big wake up call today.

Looks like a bastard, always talks up his side, tells everyone they're the best side in the division when they're 20th and then proves himself right, borderline arrogance, he'd be absolutely infuriating as an opposition manager. Absolutely love that he's our boss.

As for Wigan, they're like dogshit. Didn't really spot it, somehow trod in it, can't get it out of the tread on your shoes so the stink of them is always around. I'm hoping this is one of the games that we click in front of goal, would be nice to shut them up. It isn't going to define our season though, the points will be worth no more than the points won at Ipswich.

Saw this post yesterday and was surprised by how popular it was.

We've been well and truly put in our place today. Fucking awful at the back at times and no meaningful threat apart from Sarcs beauty off the bar.

Love Evatt and have complete faith but I hope he lays into them good and proper after this. We're too easy to beat and crumble too easily.

I'm just going to end up ranting here but this result needs to shape our season in the right way now.

Some proper work to be done if our April game against Wigan is going to mean anything.

Gordon?

There were some shambolic performances in the first 6 months of IE’s reign and that was up there with them.

front to back looked like a bunch of strangers playing together

Good team wigan and yes we had a few key players out

but that was embarrassing & spineless

reminds me of Blackburn mad Friday years back

Aye

First team that could claim to be better than us

McLean for their second is miles better than div 3

Think 3rd was offside and definitely lucky

Fair result but if sarc makes it 1 1 who knows

We've comeback from these shit results before, Orient this time last year.

We are moving in the right direction as a club, hopefully this result will do us more good than harm.

...and there's always alcohol, keep the faith chaps 👍

3 good posts.

The Blackburn mad Friday is a good comparison for lots of reasons. A team evolving but far from being right. A team capable of coming back from adversity. A team capable of scraping into play-offs.

As @Mr Greysays we are moving in the right direction, bit of a reality check today.

And as @Casino pointed out, as hard as it is to say, that’s the first team that have really looked much better than us

Well that was shite

Don't think 1 player can hold his head up high.Wigan looked so much more up for it and more organised.

Hopefully this will reign in expectation as we aren't as good as some think. We move on to Plymouth and try to put this defeat behind us

Nows the time to get pissed and take it out on the wife

I really struggle to understand how people can just laugh this off.

Our young lads will be scarred for years by this.

Evatt is starting to look to one dimensional . Back 4 give to many soft goals away every week Bako was a waste of space out wide isgrove is the man for there

today could of tried Bako  up front second half with Doyle and took sarcevic off and hit it a bit long for a change

also for me Johnson is to light weight baps in Johnson. Johnson looks more like a full back   and get a no nonsense centre half in January

Men against boys all over the park.

Wigan bullied us.

Probably get laughed at but this team can still make the play offs IMO

as grey pointed out we have a good 11 but once injuries & suspensions start we’ll struggle. If we can keep in touch till new year and strengthen we could do it

Terrible result. But move on. As Mr Grey says the games history now. Need to suck it up and forget it. If we are really honest are we anything more than a mid table team at the moment capable of great wins but also being dicked? Defence hasn’t been good all season.

Definitely

Our best XI will give anyone a game in this league, but our depth to change a game is killing us

Be reet you fannies

Good post , last season proves how a good transfer window can inspire even the most hopeless situation .

Shouldn’t get laughed at, at all. Only if you get disproportionately swayed by one bad performance, should you not believe the play-offs are still achievable. Need to bounce back in the next two mind.

Harrowing

I just hope these Arab cunts are raping them behind  the scene s and it all comes to a fucking mess

was talking to a Burnley fan today and he said the Americans there have borrowed money sweaty Ken style not looking rosy for them if they go down

The four changes killed us, full strength against these and it would have been a different result, Rotherham and Shrewsbury IMO were better on the day than these lot

Been working today, and just had a look at the line up.

Being honest I wasn't confident before hand, but having seen the starting 11, then it's no wonder.

Defensively weak in midfield, and two second choice fullbacks. Without reading the full thread, I would also presume that there was little protection for the full backs from those in front.

Rotherham yes. Shrewsbury no way. I think Wigans defence is their weakness but those two up top are best in this league. We just couldn't get it going today at all.

No they weren't...imo, tbh these were decent today, they looked on it, big side, played the percentages better and fully deserved their 0-4. Yeah we didn't have our best 11, but it's a squad game and the players that came in didn't do themselves justice, and some of the others were off form today, it wasn't just a bad day at the office, we we're well and truly beaten, we have to accept that, Ian Evatt also has to accept it.

Spot on. Galling but very true

Apart from MJ I thought we were shit all over the pitch. Worst display since we were shit for half of last season.

Hopefully just one of those days.

That was a bit shit.

Nothing else to say really
