Bury FC Supporters’ Society (BFCSS) and Bury AFC’s Shakers Community Society (BAFCSCS). "Splitters !!!" One with 771 members, 63% saying "yes" and one with 1,003 where 97% said yes ... so it fails by a margin of 3.7% of the 771. That's 28 people of one of the groups, or 1.58% of the whole total. You could have a sitcom based on this. Having another vote with a majority decision required. I'm going 52:48. Always ends well Quote
Duck Egg Posted January 10, 2023 Posted January 10, 2023 Bury FCSS (the non AFC lot) have seen their arse. They've mocked and abused the AFC group and sounded off about them being a fake club and 'purchased' Gigg Lane to get the 'real Bury' playing there again. Turns out they had no plan and never had the nous to get a team up and running. They're now throwing themselves at AFC hoping for a merger. Gigg Lane isn't a feasible option, even with the promise of Govt/Council cash. I'd not be surprised if AFC tell em to feck off and carry on with their own thing. Quote
tomski Posted January 10, 2023 Posted January 10, 2023 Mental if they don’t merge but I suppose you’d have to be a bit mental to be a bury fan of any sort full stop. Been said plenty of times but they couldn’t survive on being one. Becoming little factions, I suspect we won’t see them again. Quote

Needs massive improvements in facilities without the fan numbers through the door to fund it. Those running AFC seem to have a long term plan and it doesn't involve Gigg. According to my dad's mate they've got land for a ground with space to build bigger facilities if the time ever arrises. Quote
Ruba Mustafa Posted January 15, 2023 Posted January 15, 2023 I went watching bury at Northwich a couple of weeks ago, they won 6-1 I think, lost count, whupped em. anyway, they were singing “we only hate Bolton wanderers” n it made me laugh. i won’t be singing that at Man Utd anymore even tho I still hate the stards! 😂 Quote
Benny The Ball Posted February 15, 2023 Posted February 15, 2023 Just noticed this AFC Bury quietly going about their business Into the Quarter finals now of the FA Vase after beating Tring at the weekend (over 500 teams entered the competition) 2 games away from the major cup final for teams of their level Play Congleton away in the quarter finals Quote
Moderators Carlos Posted February 15, 2023 Moderators Posted February 15, 2023 Nothing like a good cup run to get the fans in. They can easy beat Cong. Quote
Moderators Carlos Posted February 15, 2023 Moderators Posted February 15, 2023 That's not true. You don't apply to join the Counties, you apply to join the step/level, and the FA allocate you. Is my understanding. Quote
Benny The Ball Posted February 15, 2023 Posted February 15, 2023 For those interested there is a good article about their application here, and towards the end of the article the statement from AFC Bury is worth a read , (Point 5 seems to be the crux of the issue ) If my understanding is correct It appears Bury Fc have gone down this route in order to try to secure a £1 million government grant to help them purchase Gigg Lane as there needs to be a football team playing there and so long as they are at loggerheads with AFC Bury they are stuck between a rock and a hard place, and AFC Bury wont play at GiGG Lane without an agreed merger. https://fanbanter.co.uk/report-claims-bury-fc-apply-to-play-in-non-league-next-season-and-plot-to-make-efl-return/ Quote

Ruba Mustafa Posted April 29, 2023 Posted April 29, 2023 They’ve fucked it up n missed out on promotion from north west counties however I think they’re planning on another vote to secure the merger n get back to gigg? Quote
Leyther_Matt Posted April 29, 2023 Posted April 29, 2023 They’ll keep voting until they get the right result. Much like the Jocks 👀 Quote
Moderators Carlos Posted April 30, 2023 Moderators Posted April 30, 2023 There's a vote ongoing. They got done by Vauxhall Motors "home" and away. I say home as they played at Mossley as the pitch at Radders was fucked. Anyone who has seen the pitch at Mossley will see the irony in that! The North-West Counties next season is stacked. Glossop got relegated yesterday, Ramsbottom already down. Two giants at that level. Quote

The pitch at Mossley was rough-as in my playing days. The players were fckg crackers, plus the fans were horrible. I'm assuming nothings changed. There & Leek I genuinely felt scared that we might get attacked in the dressing rooms. Quote
Moderators Carlos Posted April 30, 2023 Moderators Posted April 30, 2023 Leek is the best changing rooms I’ve seen, pretty timid compared to the worst places, Radcliffe for example. Stafford Rangers was bad, spitting during covid times. Workington sounded tasty yesterday. Quote
bolton in bedford Posted May 5, 2023 Posted May 5, 2023 https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/65484165.amp Voted to merge. The right decision and as much as they hate us, I’d like to see them back. Quote

athywhite1958 Posted May 5, 2023 Posted May 5, 2023 Horrible shower of cunts, kicked off with Colls fans at Radcliffe, came to Colls pissed up trying to cause trouble ripped Bolton flags down, they deserve fuck all except a good kicking Quote
Moderators Carlos Posted May 6, 2023 Moderators Posted May 6, 2023 I’d like to see them where they deserve to be, in the North West Counties. It’s such a poor league these days, Avro went straight through, same with Vauxhall Motors. Quote

Johnnyrotten Posted June 5, 2023 Posted June 5, 2023 I'm really pleased about this, its right that Gigg Lane hosts Bury FC games and I hope they soon get back to a half decent level. I get that a few of them hate BWFC, I don't care, its not those kids I'm pleased for. Quote
