Took the opportunity and booked the week off.

Finish on the Friday back in a week on  Monday. 

9 days off only use 3days holiday allowance    .

Definitely no street party, unless Jeep gets his  bunting out. And don't get me started on his  Union Jack shorts.

Taking delivery of a big fuck off land saw, then a few of us are off to cut Merseyside away from the mainland, and float it off into the Irish Sea.

We has a neigbours meeting last night to decide who is doing what and someone suggested dressing up.

Blackheath* replaced their usual multi-venue 100 x Mile relay with a 25 x Mile relay. I was managing Stretford and realised that we could win the silver rosebowl for the first team of under 25s on the day. We did, with our u25s finishing 6th or 7th overall. A full strength team with older runners would have still been outside the first three.

Yes.

Was trying to help a mate with his paper round, but the streets were sealed off by neighbours' cars, making it difficult to get our bikes round. Folk having gatherings and grub in the roads. 

Apart from the logistical issues, the community coming together in such a way was unusual. Never seen owt like it since.

Think 1977 was the first time my mam had cancer and I think it was so hot that me being a ginger and it being so hot that I had to walk around in crepe bandages.

Royalty wise couldn't give a single, solitary fuck.
