For me, the last thing he seems is unfazed.

He seems rattled and insecure.

Lashing out, blaming players and fans alike. I think his faith in his own ability has been shaken.

Maybe if he continued with his own philosophy and stopped being such a arrogant cunt ... he and we wouldn't be in this position. He's fucked up what we had going and wasted a lot of money in the process. Can't believe how backwards we've gone as a team.

I'm paraphrasing, but he went on to basically say "Wigan fans will probably be happy finishing 18th or 19th every season, as long as they beat us in their cup final, but I wouldn't want to settle for that." And I tend to agree with him. Or I understand what he's getting at anyway.

The first time they beat us 4-0 at home was on their way to promotion

If that's his point it's bollocks

I think you’re spot on about his being shaken. After our earlier fall off I think that Wembley defeat and the manner of it affected him more than we think. I genuinely believe a change would be the better for him and his own mental health. We know the stresses and strains of being a manager are considerable and the pressure on him now must be enormous. Idiots abusing him on line just make it worse abut I fear that isn’t going to stop.

Even at the end of Jan - 57 PTS from 27 games, 2 points behind Pompey with 2 games in hand. Wheels well and truly fell off to only get 30 points from the final 19 league games.

Shows this bad form isn't a blip.

Crazy really how much we imploded last season.

Not as crazy when you look at the fixtures.  7 out of 9 games were away from 20th Feb to 29th March, a tough run for anyone.  And these were at places like Blackpool, Wigan, Barnsley, Exeter, Derby, Stevenage.  We wouldn't have won many of them whenever we'd played.  No nightmare home defeats in 2nd half of season, unlike pre-Christmas (Wigan, Carlise, Bristol).

Poor and good results throughout the season, and a consistent inability to win the games that we never win.

He lost his fucking mind after Wembley. I think we all did in a way. It was such a MASSIVE comedown after the Barnsley game, which was probably one of the best atmospheres ever created at The Reebok. Our total capitulation bent his brain and made him think we needed to go back to the drawing board, when all we really needed was a tweak.

For someone who likes evidence to back up any kind of statement to freely suggest he lost his mind and then the total capitulation bent his brain seems a big leap.

True, we were consistent through the season in losing the harder games, especially away, we just had an easier run at the start of the season.

Still, looking at the position we were in at the end of Jan to blow promotion was a shambles. A decent manager should have been learning through the season and addressing our weaknesses for the run in. Evatt was almost a passenger last season, unable to understand why we struggled in certain games.

To be fair ditching quite a successful formula for some mad cap 5 at the back and 3 up front with no midfield idea smacks of losing one's mind.

Then going back to it after it clearly didn't work.

Reckon he dreamt it up 6 bags deep with Bappers in his open plan kitchen with Live Laugh Love on the wall.

Yeah he defo has one of them signs on his wall.

You’re quite right on the fact he’s likely gone doolaly but we know to cheese without evidence it’s speculation so let’s never mention it again😂

He's going nowhere

It really is a shame we're indulging him to this degree. For me I can cope with a mid table nothing season, but it's making this season's matches a really poor experience to take my kids to.

- He’s not going anywhere yet

- His “task in hand, is that we need to progress again” - promotion this season is the only way to do so

She clearly believes that he can still get us promoted and until she doesn’t, no matter what the result of an individual game is or who it is against, she’s not getting rid of him.

My guess is he’s got the rest of the season, because we’ll likely be within realistic touching distance of the play offs to the end.

Waste of a season in my mind, and I think she’s being hugely naive in the supporters “trusting her as she trusts us” - we’re irrational Sharon, we’ve made our minds up and are a stubborn fickle bunch (as are all football fans). He’s done for with the fan base baring an absolute miracle - she’s just being far too ‘nice’ about it all. She’ll have a shock when season ticket renewals come around.

Well my opinion has recently switched to time for a change but my opinion, as well as everyone else's opinion on here, counts for nothing in the grand scheme of things and the opinions that count are sticking, as I suspected they would. Cue the outrage from the vocal on here who thought it was a done deal.
