Brand Evatt

We had a decent thread a while back discussing Evatt’s philosophies and approach to the game (think it got tainted and pulled)

So not a bad time to start it up again at the beginning of the season.

In the main he’s done a fantastic job. A minority lost patience round about Xmas/New Year in both seasons.

But surely now he has the large backing of the majority of fans and the brand he talked about implementing here is now well and truly established.

Good article above highlighting how he’s using Sport Science to get the squad performing to it’s optimum level.

A young, meticulous, intelligent and passionate individual, who we are very lucky to have leading our club.

I hope he gets what he deserves with promotion to the Championship.

All the analysis and data aside, I just don't get how the board can seriously be sat thinking anything else but that change needs to happen. And if they think that Evatt can be the one to change

By the time of his next contract extension in 2026, we will be fighting for a Europa League spot in the top 6 of the Premier League.

Our stadium will have been expanded to 40,000 to accommodate our enormous ST holders thanks to Neil Hart, who hasn't slept for 4 years and has a statue built next to the ticket office.

Okocha, SKD & Hierro will be back as Evatts backing staff.

The fanzone will be the size of Bolton arena and will have a Carr's Pasties factory built inside.

Evatts bringing the glory days back

Is that all we can expect; Evatt out

Joking apart its brilliant news and will provide more stability regardless what happens in the playoffs.

Not knocking him but we’ve had some shit since big Sam

We could still be in league two and he'd be the best by a country mile

Edit

Forgot about Parky

Suppose Gary Megson could be close with him saving us from relegation, last 16 of a European Cup Competition followed by midtable Premier League finish.

Megson & parkinson did very well for me, football wasn’t the best a times but it worked

I think what Evatt does which is similar to the Big Sam era is brings the gaffer, his team and the fans together. You can’t argue Megson and Parky did decent jobs results wise but there was no way near the level of cohesion. What we have now is brewing to Sam and Rioch levels. That’s why he is well on his way to be spoken about in the same bracket and above the others

Spot on

Happy to see this done before the end of the season

we all know contracts are not a guarantee of anything when it comes to football

but to see him commit before we know what division we will be playing in is pleasing

Brilliant news now bring on the play offs

Megson can get fucked - We had a genuine chance of getting to the UEFA Cup final that year.

He bottled the whole competition playing the kids Vs Sporting Lisbon to focus on our game against Wigan that weekend.

We lost that game 1-0 to ten men, scored by Emile heskey. Bottled the whole journey for what?

Big game for Owen Coyle tonight

Phil Gartside gave those orders.

Same fella who said he didn’t want the CL n all 🤷🏻‍♂️

Fantastic news, hopefully the start of a great month for us.

Sound news, good sense from Sharon and her colleagues, more of the stability many clubs would crave, and of course a warning to suitors that he won't go without a wedge of compo if they want him

January was the first transfer window where it didn’t quite work out for us, but if there was any uncertainty then obviously that’s out of the window now and he can concentrate on a productive summer no matter which division we’re in.

Firstly, we don't know for sure what was actually said.

Secondly, if it was true, then any gaffer with a spine would have said fuck off.

Megson= horrible bastard who helped separate club from fans.

Not sure the first 2 summers worked out but this one was better.

If he did

Then it is why megson isn't up there with the others

Can't imagine them being told what team to pick by the chairman

If he didn't

That selection is also why

Said it for a long time and it gets more true all the time - he’s our biggest asset and we’ll only progress with him as manager. We’ll be an established championship club eyeing up our push to the Prem by the time he starts his next 3 year stint.

Apparently, no manager has ever managed us in 3 different divisions...

Great news, stability, a plan, everyone pulling together.

Love it
