The report said elderly Asian man. I doubt it would have said elderly white man. I’m not sure if his ethnicity was of relevance to the crime or maybe it was which would lead some to ask the question. If I walked into a pub in Wigan on match day in a Bolton shirt and started calling them all pie eating wankers, I couldn’t complain if the police turned up to remove me.
