December 30, 20223 yr The last few minutes just summed it up for me. Guilt edge chances fall to Kachunga and Bakayoko and they miss them horrendously. You cannot expect toge promoted out of this league with Kachunga and Bakayoko. Offload the dead wood in the team and bring in a proper striker. We have simply not scored enough goals this season and it's really holding us back

Chance falls to Kacha and his header is closer to the corner flag. In January we need to sign a striker who can actually take fucking chances. Baka should be fined for that miss. Fucking shit. I'm not his biggest fan at all, but I think the Baka one is more difficult than it looks. It was at chest height.
December 30, 20223 yr A striker is a must. Someone who can take half a chance. I’m not saying we create loads but we have created enough recently to win more games. That makes the difference. charles is a shadow of the player from last season. In fact he’s crap. Baka not good enough. You’re only as good as your strikers. Better finishing. More goals, more points Edited December 30, 20223 yr by superkev

December 30, 20223 yr Not seen a thing of the match tonight but I'd have taken a point so ok with this result. Would take the same at Barnsley too
December 30, 20223 yr Painful last 20, far too many backwards and sideways passes and too few deliveries for them to defend, when we did put a couple in (two beauties from Toal), they showed why we won't score enough goals to go up, one we hadn't anyone alive to, the other Baka fluffed from 6 yards. Evatt reckoned the other day we'd found the key to sorting out the niggly, physical sides, lost it quickly again tonight

December 30, 20223 yr Second half a lot better but can’t turn up for 45 minutes and win poor start again . Would of lost that last season though going in right direction but can’t see us going up without a good transfer window
December 30, 20223 yr Just now, gonzo said: Dont think anybody with a braincell thought that was an actual target. We're doing ok. Exactly. People think that every other team is this division is great. We’ve been average for a while and are still in the playoffs. Apart from the top 3. It’s very open for the play offs and we’re still there

He will get us out of this one, maybe needs more than a season or two ffs. We are making progress. Not like we are spending millions is it. Fuck me.
December 30, 20223 yr We’re 6th, playing average, with a transfer window to come. we would ALL have settled for that in august. Loooooong way to go yet lads.

December 30, 20223 yr Ill never get the Kachunga thing. Putting him and Baka on tonight killed it. Just for balance
December 30, 20223 yr Toal good again, not just the goal, but finding that bit of a space on the corner of the box to get crosses in. Defending must be decent too because it's not even a talking point. I typecast him into being a Santos backup just due to his height, but looks like he can get you and down as per evatt instructions on the two outer centre backs. Overall, frustrating that, in Jan to may 2022 We'd have won't that . Honestly thought we had four strikers that could get ten each this season but baka will get next to nothing and the other three (four with kachunga ) will do well to get 30 between them. We know Dion can finish, what's going on?!?

We are making progress. Not like we are spending millions is it. Fuck me. I see it differently. You take our form in the second half of last season I think it was right to think a go at promotion was fair. We are regressing from 2nd half of last season. Them subs made no sense tonight. We have players that look a shell of themselves from last season. Morley, Bod, Bakayoko etc. For balance the signings have been good this season. But we have 2 decent LWB and another I suspect in a Beck and playing Sadlier their tonight has to be questioned. We lost all shape after those subs. I personally think we should/could be doing better points wise. You are the WW hottie but I’d rather not thanks😂 Edited December 30, 20223 yr by tomski
December 30, 20223 yr The game turned in to exactly what a team with 10 men want it to become. Slow, bitty, stop start. All a bit too frantic in the end from us. Whereas the first half was far too slow and ponderous (again) we need to learn how to play with controlled intent

December 30, 20223 yr I'm not convinced we're getting the best out of what we have either, and I think that's been the case for quite a while now. There's plenty of the season left but it feels like we've failed to properly seize the initiative so far. Let's just hope it doesn't cost us.
December 30, 20223 yr You can’t win if you don’t score and I’m not sure I can think of a weaker set of “strikers than we’ve got just now so hopefully IE will come up with something next month because he must be at least as frustrated as we are. We have to be realistic though, we don’t have a pot to pee in so like it or not we’re not going to be in for proven scorers. Maybe a young loan or a chance on a veteran but I think Ian’s going to have to get lucky.
