  1. There was a Louis Theroux thing on once about hospitals in the USA. There were normal folk undergoing really expensive with very slim chance (of not getting dead) treatments. The only reason being they had comprehensive insurance, the hospitals were completely rinsing the insurance, often to the complete detriment of the patient - making what time they had left abominable. Meanwhile thousands upon thousands of those with limited or no insurance simply die of cancer, undetected 'til the final stages or even death. I have no idea why folk believe the myth that a private health system would alleviate the tax burden. The private sector would cherrypick what they wanted and leave the unprofitable remainder. Put it to a vote, the ones voting for it (selling it off), should they win, can be presented with a retrospective bill for a lifetime's worth of treatment and care, going way back to when they were in the womb.

  3. Like most, I've ended up with half an eye on more daytime telly over the last few months. Here are some things I have noticed: * The target market for advertisers are hard up pisspots (Loan shark companies) and elderly coin collectors who love Spitfires and that (Michael Burke earnestly encouraging the nation's coffin dodgers to buy half a sovereign with a picture of the Red Baron on or something like that. * That massive bird from Middlesbrough (Stef?) who looks like a cross between Max Headroom and Hulk Hogan has a lunchtime show that seems to be produced by a load of 12 year olds with a camcorder and a running order written by some pigeons that have trod in a puddle of ink. * There's a lot of people who don't work that spend their time either buying £5 antiques or £50,000 timeshares about 40 miles from the nearest Spanish beach, all whilst claiming it's luxurious and exactly what they've always dreamed of when they'd have been better off buying a 4th floor flat in Walsall overlooking a nearby metal fabrication factory. It must be responsible for the bulk of UK suicides.

  6. Track and trace cost £22billion Thats £22,000,000,000 twenty two thousand million pounds. A fifth the cost of the NHS for a year. The NHS employs over a million people and runs thousands of sites for that. One day, in time, track & trace will be uncovered as the greatest single criminal act in a generation. Think about it.

  9. The trouble is that the nurses haven't been to Harrow or Eton whereas the shareholders at Serco have. The front line workers in the NHS including cleaners and porters are ordinary people like us and in my mind should get 12% because that was the social contract we entered into last year. The administration side can take what is offered, The aftermath of the pandemic was hopefully going to re-structure society but the old money brigade are not going to allow it so it's back to the grindstone for all of us... rich will get richer and the poor will get poorer

  12. Went into the village co-op last year and they were giving out leaflets about taking out funeral insurance... the grey haired spectacled nonce on the cover looked just like me... bastards. I like Bargain Hunt, I would love to have a go... I'd be out on some antiques fair with my ferrets and best Bowton attitude... "I'm looking for a BARGAIN pal, do as I tell you or eff off"

  13. Right, the donkeys, unless it's bloody obvious like having foot long hooves or having about eight tonnes of rubble tied to them with hessian rope - how does one tell if a donkey is happy? Even pampered neddies with gold stables and cocaine-laced hay in their manger look pissed off and hard-done-by, it's their default look. There was sommat on the telly once about disparity in charitable contributions, apparently one single donkey sanctuary in Somerset or somewhere took more in donations than the top 3 charities for women abuse victims (abused women, not henpecked blokes 😀) put together. I dunno how the owners of those commemorative coin peddling 'Mints' sleep at night - fucking cunts bamboozling old duffers into thinking they'll leave a 'legacy' not a load of worthless tat. Be better off buying fucking chocolate coins or shopping trolley tokens as an investment.

  15. Inbox me, hun xx Cunts to a man. Hoseasons etc can fuck right off, they were virtually begging the travel trade to put bookings their way last year, now they're asking for full payment upfront from travel agents and no commission. Rest of you, fuck off with your politics, there's enough dull threads full of that shite.

  22. Unbelievably I side with smug school prefect fatarse on this... You look like... You're going to get the beats. I hope Patel did that thing where you get your victim in a headlock then alternately roughly rub their scalp/hair with your knuckles then rap on their skull. Then peanut his tie, tie him to the HOC fence with it, kick him up the arse and stick a sign on his back reading: "PLEASE GOB ON ME!" So all the passing MPs can spit onto the fingertips of their index and middle fingers and flick it onto the back of his blazer.

  26. This season has been a wash out but players have still had to be signed and paid for. I'm unsure how our owners could afford to let us in next season for free or at a significant discount. So long as prices remain realistic, I'll be stumping up as normal, although I understand why many will be reticent.

  29. Interesting that the people on here calling for Sturgeon's head simultaneously defend/make excuses for Conservative MP's who've engaged in the same/similar behaviour. ANY MP, from ANY party, who engages in corrupt practices or knowingly lies to the public should be struck off and banned from standing ever again - at the very least. I don't care if it's the local MP for a village in Cornwall, Nicola Sturgeon, Kier Starmer, Priti Patel, or the Prime Minister. If they break the Ministerial Code, get rid of the fucking cunts.
