Managed to get it over 147F the other night. Hottest day of the year and I was sweating my nads off in it. Used it again the following night. Insane! JimmyRiddle
OK, need a bit of advice please. Started the year at 20 stone and unable to run for a coupel of minutes. Since then, I've doen C25k and C210k and can now run, slowly for an hour and a half. I've also been doing some HIIT workouts at home, so on average 5/6 workouts a week all through lockdown. Been aiming for 2200 cals, 15% down on my daily calorie allowance. So after all that I've lost 10lbs!! So fucking annoying. More worryingly on a recent run my heart rate was in 80-90% range for most of it, even though I wasn't blowing?? But I did feel lethargic and tired? So what the feck going on, will never be able to do this again, be so dedicated, once back at work so how have I only lost so little weight?? Is it worth seeing what my RMR is, as calories are only estimated? And if so, where can you get it done?? Do I need to go to docs about HR?? Is Max HR worth working out? I am ex military so whilst the weight was piling on always convinced myself I could train it back off, obviously I can't, but have altered my diet too, but still no results? Any advice greatly appreciated!! Edited July 5, 2020 by JimmyRiddle

Dunno what your age or weight is but 2200 calories a day seems a lot I'm on some diet thing were you do meal replacement breakfast and lunch and a 600 cal meal for tea My daily limit is 1000 cal, that's without exercise 2 runs and 2 pt sessions a week burns about 3k but i have booze Friday and Saturday which evens it out Lost around 10lbs in 3 weeks Maybe you need to review your diet and calorie intake

Yeah Limiting to 1000 a day sounds as unhealthy as having 4k a day If you've done all that you say, somethings not right, imo

Any advice greatly appreciated!! Google Maffetone running, I’ve recently started doing it and I’m slowly beginning to see results. Basically it’s all about running in a low HR to build up your aerobic fitness. I found It very frustrating at first as I had to walk on some of my runs to maintain my HR goal. But It has its long term benefits. It’s what a lot of the Kenyans train too. Failing that I’m sure @Rudy may have some sound advice

jayjayoghani
Jimmy, try not to get down about the lack of weight loss. That's fantastic progress you've described, well done. I suspect tweaks to your diet will improve the weight loss.

Members Rudy
In my professional opinion I try not to get too hung up on calorie intake, its more nutritional intake and eating the correct things at the correct points of the day, in line with your exercise routine.
