  1. Guy i knew i uni was called Drew Peacock. Massively unfortunate.
  2. Comedians have the right to go at anything for me, whether you find it funny or offensive is your choice. If you don't like it, switch it off and don't watch that particular person again. Simple. What really annoys me though is people (mostly of the daily mail reading origin) that watch a comedian with the sole reason that they will be offended and can complain, like with the frankie boyle thing a while back. If i had my way these types of people would be up against the wall.
  3. seetickets did the job for me. Took many page refreshes though 4 Tickets, sweet..
  4. Cheese and baked beans toasties, the greatest combo ever. Might have to go and purchase a toastie machine now after all this talk
  5. Genuinely the guy on the left said something like 'I'm already worn out from the desire to give a punch in the chops' then the guy on the right said 'well do it' so he did. Fair enough in my opinion
  6. If its the lot on Middlebrook, get in there and kick off, preferably on a busy saturday. their manager is a complete wet and will buckle. They screwed up my sofa order and got the chaise long bit the wrong way round and were adament on the phone that i would have to wait another 12 weeks for the correct one. Walked in, shouted the place down about how they were incompetent cretins, refused (and this is the important bit) to be herded into a side office. Ended up with the sofa that was in the showroom as a temp replacement till mine was done, plus 300 quid off the whole deal. Sounds like some proper dodgy selling there though.
  7. With you on that LW, all this nonsense of protest and sacking the manager is mental. 5 games in, 3 of which were games where anything out of them will be a bonus, 2 should win games but then early on in the season against newly promoted is always a dangerous one and produces upsets, won 1 lost 1 (would have helped if Klasnic had not got himself sent off in that one). Get arsenal and chelski out of the way and then we can start trying to put a run together. Sack the manager, pfft who are we? newcastle??
  8. Ricardo vaz te (aka bambi) against Blackburn was worst for me, mostly as i was in a pub full of dingles and had to take a mass mocking for that one. Choice between those two though, nando for me, guy of his skill and price tag should be banging that in with his eyes shut.
  9. Focus are a cracking car I've had 4 now and they have all been good aside from one problem on my 04 plate TDCI, something to do with dual mass flywheels in the clutch. they used pritt stick to hold them together and they can fail, leaving you with a ?500+ bill. fortunately mine failed under warranty and was sorted. so would be wary buying a tdci that is pre 05 plate where they changed the flywheel to a more robust system
  10. Anyone tried the honeycomb one. Its spot on, like drinking a Crunchie bar..
  11. Long term then buying is definitely the way to go. Simple reason you will be paying rent all your life, but a mortgage is only for 25 years of it. Also the rent will keep increasing without fail. Barring any major interest rate swings your mortgage should stay around the same level.
  12. Definitely would be a new undies situation
  13. Surely more the sudden stop at the end that people fear.. As for me, clowns (ever since seeing IT) and Dwarves or whatever the politically correct term is. Its nothing personal, i am sure they are very nice people but they freak me out for some unknown and ridiculous reason.
  14. As said the Sharrow Bay however one to look at mighht be the Leemings Hotel on Ullswater.
  15. That's the one. Great British engineering for you.
  16. Pretty sure 112 is just the European number for 999, but you cannot ring it if you don't have a signal. You cant ring anything without a signal. Good advice on the not stopping for unmarked cars in deserted places though, lot of dodgy buggers around and there have been a few stories like this in the news.
  17. Didn't realise there were sites for streaming rugby league. Whats the quality like? you couldn't possibly pm me the site could you? I have found over that last 5yrs or so that RL fans are way more pleasant, think it is probably something to do with not segregating fans at the grounds, mind it takes a brave away fan to stand in the middle of the shed at Salford. You will get much abuse but if you give as good as you get then you're alright to us..
  18. My first car was one of these bad boys, in that colour as well. 1 litre of raging power under the bonnet
  19. Not really amusing but derren brown often posts links to some crazy stuff shitmydadsays has some great posts as well, worth a reada of the backposts
  20. Anything by Adnams brewery, their 'blonde' is cracking ale, also Ulverston breweries Flying elephants Sierra Nevada pale ale is the only good american beer ever brewed, rare on tap but definitely worth a try (can get it on tescos i know that.
  21. According to the sun we have extended his contract My link now if we can just sort out elmos contract
  22. a few decent pubs there, top spinners is all right (3d sky pub as well if your interested in that malarkey), decent curry house on the a6, sharzu I think it is called. but everything shuts relatively early. Worth it for a couple of cheap beers but then i would jump on the train to Bolton or Manc as it gets later on.
  23. Its an old one but 'Killer Budgies' by Mike Harding has a good few burst out loud laughing moments
  24. This opener seemed to work at the wedding I was the best man at We all know that the greatest moment in your life or any man?s life is when a woman walks into a room,??.stares across that sea of faces, looks into your eyes and says (pointing at groom) he?s the one. Of course in the past this usually happens to *groom* in a police line up but what the hell. As long as you follow the basic rules to best man speeches you'll be reet
  25. Its not the one on the lion of viennas carpark is it? If it is then it belongs to some cnut that keeps fly tipping near my mates flat on royal park grove (the flats where the old hospital used to be) Break into it, push it onto the road, councils problem, might as well do something for all that tax you pay. Or take it to a scrappers, for a 53 plate it could earn a few quid for scrap and parts
