A great win,  probably not our best free flowing performance but didnt need to be against an absolute shite defence,  they looked like rabbits in headlights from the off and how strange that their leading scorer doesn't actually have a name and is just known as jch!    Jesus wept.  Wtf was all that about.

What a place that Charters Bar was. First ever pre match pint on a boat. Both sets of fans together and quick service. Great atmosphere. Belting. Home back in Boltonia for 9.30pm. A day my daughter and I will never forget. Top away dayer.

Fucking class that, tbf we did the same to Charlton the other week who got off lucky but today we had that cutting edge to really punish the opp. Over the moon for Santos, Dion-Shola partnership is very effective away from home they cause carnage, thought Geth had a stormer today he owned that right hand side.

What a day.  Late decision to go and thank god I did.

thought they started quite well but a big clearance from Santos and a punch from traff where he took man and ball changed it.

not seen us that clinical for a long time.

shoretire great for winning the pens, jones superb for the 3rd.

santos was a man mountain for the whole game.  Great to see a hat trick.

quality sing song on the train home.

Our press was superb yesterday, closed them down high up the pitch and they couldn’t cope with it and was the key to winning the game, fantastic work by Evatt and the coaching team… long may it continue.

3 away games since the turn of the year against promotion / play off rivals

6 points from 9

9 goals for

2 against

2 remaining away games - weds & Wycombe

2 at home - Ipswich & Shrewsbury (currently and surprisingly in the mix)

those games rather than the rest will go a long way to determining where we end up

I read that article about "the 5000" club in the Times. We're the 5th team (!) to do it (after Preston, Burnley, Wolves and Derby) but how come Preston have played 127 more league games than us? Is it because they spent longer in the lower divisions with more fixtures, something to do with the war years or something else? We all started on the same day so I wouldn't have imagined there'd be almost 3 seasons' difference

We talk a lot about the 'press' and we talk about Kieran Lee's quality on the ball, but it often goes unnoticed how much work he puts in.
