I often (to my kids dismay) try to get this chant going.

I’m determined to keep going and get Someone to join in soon…

I always thought it was ‘hello, hello’? And I guess became instantly unpopular once Gary Glitter was outed as a nonce?

It also used to be “Hello, hello! Bolton aggro, Bolton aggro!

Also “Hello, hello, we are the Bolton Boys. And if you are a xxxxx fan, surrender or you’ll die. We will follow the wanderers”

All those songs we used to sing, quite catchy and easy to join in and sounded great, there were loads more and what do we get now?  Wanky Wanderers and Bolton are massive.  Sounds so small time.

The worst of the lot is "white army, white army". Usually bellowed by one person, followed by a scattering of other people only to peter out within seconds. It sounds shit and I wish we'd stop singing/shouting it. In fact its the most shit chant of ours I've known in getting on for five decades following the club.

You never hear "oh when the Whites go marching in" any more. That used to be an innocent standby song. So did "We are Bolton, super Bolton, from the north ... WEST"

I always liked "Wanderers" being sung to the Chameleon song by Culture Club. "Wanna, wanna, wanna, wanna, wanderers"

..... showing my age.

I actually don't mind white army!  One of the few that started at Burnden that still gets an airing.  Loads of teams sing similar - Plymouth with green army etc.  But Wanky Wanderers is mind numbingly terrible from every single aspect.

When the whites go marching in is my favourite along with we're by FAR the greatest team the world has ever seen and they do still get sung occasionally, but no longer guaranteed to hear them most home games like maybe 10 years ago.  They both got sung at Wembley which sounded absolutely magnificent.

The Culture Club version of wanderers reminds me of that one season sat in Lever End, 83-84, it was massive then.

And yes Super Bolton from the north (west) was ace.  Its good enough for a load of clubs now including Spurs but we sadly dropped it years ago.

Bolton score, Bolton score, once we get one we'll get more...

"Wanky Wanderers" was adopted to prevent opposing fans singing it at us - successfully. ( same as "chin chinnery " by Burnley )

My pet hate is "Bolton till i die " usually sung by twerps who are seen flouncing out 15 mins before the end when we're losing.

Plenty songs/chants have died out - some for obvious reasons - but one i always liked from the dark days & don't hear now, was "we'll support you ever more ", which always used to get belted out defiantly at the end of (mostly) away games, after (mostly) yet another defeat.

No issues with any songs unless they say we hate Wigan or anything to do with them. Small time.

We keep chicken in our back yard, we feed em’ on Indian corn.

And one’s a bugger…..

True classic.

Mid 80’s?

But nobody sings it at us now and it just sounds pointlessly wierd singing it against Cheltenham or FGR, they must look at us like we're a bit odd.  Bolton's a shit hole another classy number that must really give the players a boost!

Yes...we'll support you ever more was a defiant chant, no chance of that making a reappearance when every defeat has everyone (all fans, not just BW) spitting bile at the manager on social media for the line up, formation, tactics, substitutions etc.  It was much simpler in the 80s when the same 11 or 12 played every week and there wasn't much to get annoyed about, the manager didn't have a lot of choice and everyone played 4-4-2 with 1 sub allowed. I remember clapping them off after 5-0 defeats at Carlisle and Oxford just thinking they'd tried their best!  I could hardly say McGovern shouldn't have picked Graham Bell, he's all we had.

Mid 80’s?

For giving the other, a piggy back over the wall; Oh we're the barmy Bolton army...

Sweet Molly Malone, She Wheeled her wheel barrow, through the streets broad and narrow, singing Phil Neal's super white army.

We're by far... is also a shit one.

Lots of teams sing it, yet none are.

To be honest, many football songs are absolute shite.

Who’s that comin’ up the hill, boys?

The Wanderers are comin’ up the hill, boys.

They all laugh at us. They all mock at us.

They all say our days are numbered.

Born to be a Wanderer, victorious are we

So you better hurry up ‘cause we’re gonna win the cup

We’re the pride of division 3

Oh, by the way, I think Wanky Wanderers came about as an ironic chant because it had worked so well for Man U when after hearing “Who the fuck are Man United?” all game they started singing it back at us once they took the lead.

Love that song

Another good one is “Bertie Mee said to don Revie have you heard of the North Bank Highbury; Don says no I don’t think so but I’ve heard of the Lever Enders’

Edited by RUREADY2ROLL

Talking of old songs I heard leeds singing he’s only a poor little cockney his face is tattered and torn over the weekend, not heard that song for years… promptly got smashed 5-1 by palace. 🤣

I quite proudly started a rendition of that at Wembley which lasted much longer than I expected!

I see the price of an East Stand Upper season ticket has now risen from the early bird £289 to £399.

Wherever we go we'll fight the foe, to keep the white flag flying high.

Isn’t this normally what happens when an early bird finishes?

Ive purchased mine already but their is still value in them prices. Even more so  in kids tickets. Can’t see too many more being done now though.

I think Fred the Red just likes having a moan at our club instead of concentrating on what the Glazers are doing to his club

It’s touching really.
