With previous trips to Wembley/Cardiff, I had everything sorted for me and I just gave the 'leader' of our little group whatever cash he requested. Having fallen out of touch with that gang, and the fact I'm taking my own kids this time, I'm fucking clueless. Not really got an idea where to start regarding transport. Haven't even done a local Away game for about a decade. I'm assuming I'll be able to buy a tickets + travel package direct from the club?

Yeah tickets then book on the travel which Im sure there will be plenty. You'll all be members and ST holders wont you?

Me and the kids are. Possibly taking 2 others who are neither ST holders or members though. If it's too difficult, they can fuck off. Only bothered about me and the kids.

Getting the (right) tickets has to be the biggest fear for everyone.

Train strikes or not, we'll all get there even if you leave it until a couple of days before the game.
Those wanting to stay over will find somewhere to stay.

Aye. I want to take my youngest and Mrs who aren't ST holders. If its one per ST we'd have to wait till they are on open sale to sit together. By that stage it would probably only the Olympic Gallery left :)

And i think his point is he would maybe want to sit with a mate wjo is a member and a mate who has a st

He would need to wait til member time

I think thats his point

Correct, thanks for clarifying.  Brother/nephew live in Lincoln.  Son is in Liverpool, he'll want to bring his mate who watches Athy LR more than Bolton.  My mate in Horwich is a lapsed ST holder.  They all go to about 6 games a season.  My step daughter has a ST, and I have a child one that doesn't get used much.  If we all want to sit together we probably have to wait for member sale, but loads will be in that boat.

You'll be fine. There's no way we're selling 40k

Go back to queuing up at the ticket office first come first served.

miss them days.

I remember queuing up on Manchester road for tickets for the FA cup game away to Man U and being asked a Bolton related question to see if I was a Bolton fan or not.

I wasn't going to bother with this (been every Wembley since the Bristol City one) but there's folk never been to a match in their life going, maybe one of our biggest Wembley turnouts in the modern era potentially.

Okay, will be quantity over quality, but tempted me to go.

As someone pointed out before, it's where we are at currently, let's embrace a Wembley final.

Totally agree. I don’t like the competition but it will be a great day out and for some younger fans the first time seeing us play there. Looking forward to it and it will be a good match against Plymouth.

Balls to it, Wycombe for 1 night cancelled, 2 nights Premier Inn at Euston to make more of a weekend of it booked

Very wise.

Nobody wants to stay in Wycombe, even for one night.

Make sure you go for a pint at the King Charles just behind Kings Cross. One of the best pubs in London.
