The one over xmas? 25k on?

Doubtful. It was a prediction, not a look back at previous gates.

Do you not remember when we played Derby at home this season? We had over 25k on.

You can't take a Christmas attendance into account. Plenty living away from Bolton are back visiting family, that always boosts Xmas crowds

This is a play off though. Not an ordinary home game neither.

The folk who took day trippers to Wembley need to bring them back for this one

20k for games at end of season with shit away followings. Assume they bring 2k we should be pushing 25k.

I honestly thought maybe 18k. The number of folk who have never seen us in the play offs though will swell that.

Really don't know what to expect

They bought 4k as well. Madness.

Tranmere was a bad one as well.

Mad how we went from appetite of the Swindon semi a few years earlier to barely getting 13k on.

Probably 3k, we had half of South Stand lower as was the norm then.  Still, it was a very poor turnout.  We had as many home fans for the QF v Southampton, attendance 14k.

Only obvious difference being Villa was live on TV, possibly ITV, so available to everyone?

Come on Bolton. Business end approaching

Not 20k turning up though.  Attendance for play offs will be actual people there, not swelled by the likes of the kids ST I have sat in the kitchen drawer that's been used 3 times

Would have preferred it us giving them the full end and them returning the favour.

Let’s be honest Derby wasn’t 25k

Our home attendances are very loose to say the least, season ticket holders included who don’t attend and many tickets given to Bolton at home not used too

I will certainly eat my words and love to proved wrong but as season ticket holders need to buy a ticket this will a more accurate test

This soon turned into another attendnonce discussion.

Am going 3-1 victory first leg and 2-2 draw at oakwell.

Noticed these guys struggle to come back once they concede, play offs are generally tight and I don’t expect anything different next week

1-1

3-0. Charles, Kachunga, Toal.

2-0 first leg and a draw at theirs. 👊🏼

Can’t afford to go 1 behind to these.

more tricks up their sleeve than Paul daniels.

2-0

0-0, Nick a win at theirs

1-0 at home then a repeat of our earlier visit for a comprehensive win on the way to an unexpected final v Peterborough.

Glanced over BarnsleyWays this morning they seem to have this view we shithouse our way through games, pull out delaying tactics, strong arm people etc. they’ve definitely watched the wrong side

1-0 at fortress unibol, 1-1 at oakwell.

Yorkshire born, Yorkshire bred,

Strong in the arm, thick in the head.

Barnsley will pack the midfield and rely on Devante Cole or Norwood to get a goal. Fortunately Cole is nowhere near as prolific as his dad was but both he and Norwood know where the goal is. We need to be at our best to bypass the midfield battle and get behind them down the wings like we did to Argyle at Wembley as Barnsley have a very solid spine.

Ironically Oakwell could suit us better than the Unibol if we get our expansive game going as it's 3 yds wider than the Unibol and a yard wider than Wembley (though not as long)

Ultimately it will come down to how well we play though and some of our passing has been poor since Wembley like George J yesterday who misplaced pass after pass - can't afford to do that in the playoffs.

I thought I'd be more then satisfied with reaching the playoffs and winning a pot was a bonus, but now we're here I really want us to go all the way whilst we have the chance.

Agree a draw at home wouldn’t be the worse result in the world, liked what IE  said after the game that we would go and attack the play offs . ( we don’t know any other way).

This Bolty. I actually think Posh could do Wednesday, the Owls really aren’t in good form and were apparently very lucky to beat Derby on Saturday. All the pressure will be on them, particularly at home, so I wouldn’t write off an upset either.
