this is only Sheff Weds second season in L1

Ipswich and Sheff Utd did it at the 4th attempt

Plymouth did it after 3 years since coming up from L2

so it's plenty do-able and not beyond the realms of exptancy this season or next or whenever

though with our player turnover and reliance on loans, we have to take whatever chances of going up that come away, I won't be consoling myself with "well it's been a good season" etc if we lose

we won't build a championship ready team till we're in the championship, but we've got a play off ready team right now

so let's go for it

Maybe I was thinking of Sheff Utd

Food and beer festival in Barnsley town centre. That’s a pleasant coincidence.

The elite now have tickets some very thoughtful folk about 2 nil win

  • Both my lads were in tears singing their hearts out 💙 Fuck Wembley, we'd have been outnumbered 2:1 and probably beaten.  Fuck the championship, we'd get twatted every week and all the good f

Still wondering who the injured players are but Lies suggesting Morley will be out - not that he knows for sure. That said, IE said one of them was due to being overplayed and Morley did look knackered.

Sheff Utd were in league one for 6 years on the bounce until they got promoted with us, look at them now...

10 Years ago Luton finished 7th in the National league, shows what a good run club can achieve.

We've never spent longer than 15 years out of the top division.

Up this year, a year to regroup then up in plenty of time under FV. 🤗

God this is a painful wait, season could be over at 10pm or could be one of the most exciting times in recent memory

Nerves are kicking in for me now too.

Sure it's still a great season if we lose tonight, and it would be infinitely less painful than losing at Wembley, but... I want this!🙂

Just seen this on my youtube feed - featuring chris basham, sam ricketts and mark howard

the top comment is food for thought

'And now Swindon are in League 2 and Sheffield United are in the Premier League. How things change.'

But in the mid 80s who in their wildest dreams could have seen us ever being massive ever again,???

A graphic for Wanderers' line-up at Oakwell: Trafford (GK), Santos (C), Johnston, Charles, Nlundulu, Morley, Toal, Bradley, Dempsey, Thomason, R Williams. Subs: Dixon (GK), John, MJ Williams, Sheehan, Kachunga, Adeboyejo, Jerome.

Decent team.  Pleased Thomason is in.  So, Lee must be the impact injury…..but can’t see anyone else missing?  Sheehan and Kacha on bench?

Shoretire

Descent team,very attack minded bench

If they Cant Do it

No one Can

Glad George is in.

IE trusts him and so do I.

He’ll go further…..

Don’t know how true it is but hearing the ref for tonight’s game has been changed, Michael Salisbury from Lancashire now takes charge. Could be a good omen

Thomason should have gone on at home; good move. I’d have had John, but here’s hoping. Still have us to win.

Come on Nlundulu and Thomo, step up

The only good ref omen is Uriah.

Not trying to be controversial but Kieran Lee hasn’t been getting much game time recently, any chance he’s being intentionally left out prior to a move? Shorty won’t be a miss he’s just not been up to it for me.
