Always remember a Bolton “fan” allegedly from Wrexham who I used to see at England aways.

He was always around when there was any bovver but never saw him at Bolton.

I was convinced at the time he was undercover police and I asked him a few times and he denied it.

Hadn’t seen him for years but he was around last season.

It wasn’t @Big E.

Still not sure if he was or wasn’t.

Agree with all that so don't take this as anything else, but without the significant drop in prices (and kids STs virtually given away), the 20k+ home fans doesn't happen.  Fans can afford to buy STs now knowing they won't go to a number of games, that wasn't the case any other season at Reebok.

In other seasons at the Reebok we weren't playing in division 3.

I thought it was Sunday.

I question whether or not the fact it is on telly is a factor. OK if it was a  wet Tuesday night it would affect attendances, but a Sunday afternoon, potentially decent weather, plenty to do and see in and around the ground etc and a club that is family-friendly - it's a good matchday experience for many people that the telly can't replicate.

Not sure about that. There's been plenty of cheap spells. I remember my ST as a teen in 2000/01 was cheap as chips so got it, and one for a mate, for my birthday. Yet attendance that promotion season were generally 13k.

I'm loving the attendances. Not old enough to have experienced the 70s but from what people have said it does feel like that - snowballing attendances

Like you I'm loving the attendances and the buzz it brings on weekend matchdays, but enough of that, if we discuss crowds any more we'll be in front of the site mods again.  Not cool.

On prices of ST's, I've never thought it was expensive and I've been happy to pay whatever they've charged over the last 40 years, always good value.  But adult tickets never been as relatively cheap as the last 2 years.  Yes kids prices have always been cheap at this stadium but I've bought them most seasons for family and taking inflation into account they've never been as low priced as now.  Your "cheap as chips" wouldn't have been under £50 I'm fairly sure, and even if it was that's 20 years ago when a pint cost about £2.

I just know 😊 Generally speaking, the first home game, Christmas/New Year and last home game are Category A as they’re always good sellers regardless of opposition. There are, of course, exceptions as if there are a few other Cat A games (Wigan, Blackpool, Portsmouth last season) then it means there can be a few tweaks such as the Lincoln game to hit the target of having a spread of categorised matches.

My first season ticket as a 10 year old in 97/98 was £136 in North Upper so presumably the cheapest area. No idea how I remember that other than I revised the season ticket brochure (those were the days). Equates to £310 these days which is a good £100+ more than what I’m paying now. Not complaining, like!

That Coventry game and the limbs at the end has really got me in the mood for Sunday. Really hope we come out positively and have a go at them from the start.

I can't wait for this game, feels like we are on the up again as a football club and I have a feeling this season is going to be one to remember. First league game at home since what happened at Wembley last season so I'm hoping for a positive, aggressive performance and three points.

I feel like these men aren't good enough at the back for this league. They are ok going forward but we should be able to get at them. Parky will have then organised but I have a good feeling we're going to have too much for them.

That’s my feeling too and with our much improved strike force we should really be confident of a good win so I’m going to stick my neck out and say 4-1 to the Mighty Whites and send the daffodils home wilted.

I'll tell you something these guys have done, very regularly, for about 4 seasons. They score late goals. The proportion of 80' on goals is crazy & the number of additional time ones in particular.
