Aye. T'other post for me.

Pretty much along the line of Savage's shot.

Buzzing for this game now, time to believe and grab this game with both hands.

As Malt Loaf famously said, you took the words right out of my mouth...

Love that this thread turned into a Welsh lesson 🤣

Is there an away friendly pub fairly close to the ground (we're in a car so doesn't have to walking distance) you can recommend please? I have seen the Bee Hive and the Jolly Crofters mentioned? Diolch.

bee hive is nearest and about 10 minute walk

jolly crofters not walkable, couple of miles away, and a bit shit

if you're in car and want a decent pint head into Horwich to the ale house or brewery bar

if it's nice even try Rivington Brewery, best pint around by along way

don't park on tesco, you'll probably get a ticket

Westhoughton is fine and welcomes football fans .

Then a 8 min drive to the stadium.

Recommend, White Lion, Brewery Tap and there is a Spoons with a beer garden.

The Robert Shaw.

I hope Parky gets a good reception

Can’t believe over 25k sold, esp given Sky and category A.  No idea why!  Think we only managed this twice last season - Pompey and Reading community day.  Fingers crossed for a good win (for a change) and an early chance to banish the Wembley blues.

First Saturday home game of the season is always Category A (and often an above average gate)

Last season it was Lincoln with just over 20k

Probably a few more in the home end than last year but definitely more in the away end.

Big away following matches were all around 24k last year. Add that this is first of the season and we've added a thousand or so more home fans. So we're getting big gates consistently.

Really is tremendous support we're getting last couple of years. Need to start adding those front 3 rows in...

Remember during the unspeakable era, circa 2016-19, he who won't be named was crying to us for 20,000 crowds in the Championship for extra money and we all laughed at him, rightly so.

Look how far we've come, a league lower and comfortably hitting 25k on multiple occasions.

Just shows what happens when an actual owner comes in, knows how to engage a club, it's supporters, town and genuinely cares.

Thank god for Aunty Shazza.

We simply have to deliver on the pitch to make full advantage

All the more impressive after the big let down at Wembley in May. You are right about the mid 70s, it continues to have that feel. Big numbers, not fickle.

The Public have stepped up again. Now time to deliver
