Newcastle even had 20k on v Manchester United one season in the late 1980s

I remember buzzing for that game.  I'd got a really bad back and could hardly walk, no way I should have been standing on the packed Burnden Paddock for 2 hours.  I got in early enough to stand bolt upright against the wall at the back, and loved every bit of that game and atmosphere, what a cracking season.

There’s a bar in Portugal I like and they have loads of footie scarves on the wall - mainly Benfica, Sporting and Prem/ Bundesliga teams - and I’ve negotiated a prime spot for  BWFC scarf but I want something which shows our longevity and can’t find it online e.g “ BWFC - fucking with fans heads since 1874”

just Bolton Wanderers 1874 would do.

Any ideas?

I agree, we've obviously sold a few thousand tickets on top of S/Ts and those bought individually are obviously turning up.  Just making the point that we've heard it all before about big crowds being expected (Blackpool for eg) and the reality is different when you turn up and see the empty seats.  Clearly that's worse midweek than on a Saturday, but the 12.30 KO won't help.  This isn't just our issue, watching EFL goals midweek, swathes of empty seats at the likes of Sunderland and Sheff Wed and they claim 40k/25k on.

This is the first game in ages where spare tickets not floating around everywhere.

We have 100% turn out.

You’ll do well to find anything now with 1874 on. For some reason the club have decided to wipe them 3 years off. All the old stuff before the reebok was defo 1874

I assumes it's due to a trademark on the name (or something similar)

Well whoppee do here we are again...it's that time of year when you get your arses handed to you on a platter...right that's out the way I'll talk serious. 

Where do I fuckin ' start ? The summer recruitment at Wigan was poor and the style is turning most of us to drink...it's a tough one because Maloney is held in high regard due to 2013...but it has started to turn septic with changes to the team for no reason and confidence is low. If you don't win this you'll never win another fucker ever. 

Our defence is solid so a 0-0 or nick a 1-0 is the best chance.

That said on the day we can beat anybody but can also stink the place out annall. You score early im going home. You haven't beat us in 10 years and I'm hoping that continues but I've got a feeling of doom.

Can I just add i will come on here Saturday neet with 1 post. I won't gloat if we win and I won't hide if we lose. I will try to give an honest assessment of what goes on.
