  • That was pathetic, abject, depressing, slow, inept, cowardly, and utterly humiliating. I'm one of the so-called "happy clappers", but it's clearly time for a refresh.

When a manager is under pressure and debate is raging about him there’s always A defining moment when everyone agrees it’s time to put an end to it. Today was that moment.   anything that comes

  • They simply have to pull the trigger now. A new manager coming in at this point has plenty of time and a decent amount of points on the board to build a promotion charge. We should be right

Get a new manager in now & we could still go up. We desperately need a fresh start & system.

We need a new system and a new manager but no way will that fix it to get us promoted the players aren’t up to it and need shipping out . Wasn’t long ago Johnstone and evatt admitted most don’t train properly and put the effort it .
wonder which player will be in the paper Monday giving it we know we have let the fans down and we’re determined to put it right blah blah blah a copy and paste interview for the Bolton news from the last fuck up

Got to agree with you how time after time no matter who is on the pitch we bottle it in big games he as to go and should have gone after the play off final why does he persist with 2 in midfield?

He should have gone after the playoff final. Surely, he has to go now?

I just wish we played football like Wigan did, particularly in the first half, crisp, pass and move. diagonals and bossing the wide spaces

Pathetic performance once again

I didn’t bother today knew what would happen it’s Groundhog Day with this lot . Watched the first 10 minutes then switched it off

Saw the headlines in the Bolton news this week and couldn’t be bothered reading it new it would be the usual crap we here every derby game white noise and then do the opposite

Only 2 nil this time... maybe IE will tell us this is an improvement

That was is answer to Wembley had a long hard look at it and came up with is plan B which is worse than is plan A . He is to head strong to see its shit he changed it a while back after a bad run and once the pressure eased brought it back every manager knows a high press and crosses into the box and we can’t cope

Evatt should be made to spend the next 24 hours watching that first half on repeat.

Should have gone 3 or 4 weeks ago. Today is unacceptable and it's another example of us bottling a big game. Players look confused about what they should be doing.

Wigan played well to be fair - but we've more than enough quality in the side to be beating them.

I'm singling out Matete for being particularly woeful today - the way he got rolled for that first goal was embarrassing for a defensive midfielder.

Time is up.

Surprised if our entire fan base isn't aligned in wanting a new manager now

Useless

Shite. Yet again I feel like an idiot for thinking we'd turn up today. That first half was pathetic. It's been stale since May. Still don't see us pulling the trigger.

Should have gone in May, after Oxford.

You've had several opportunities to make change, please make it now, a transfer window is coming, a lot of these players are not good enough, we've come so close to promotion but we are declining each and every month, there is brief respite because we have some talent, but the squad as a whole is mentally weak and not good enough consistently, this 2024 as proved it, bottling promotion proved it, Wembley proved it.

We've lost 2-0 before and will do again with loads of managers in the future, but this can't continue, unless of course there is a reason we can't, we played well vs Huddersfield in mid-week and whilst a crappy cup probably will have no bearing on a league match, you'd think our players would come out positive and yet all they did 1st half was defend, give balls away and foul, what have they been doing since Huddersfield in tactics and training that made them play like that vs bottom of the league, please don't look at this like 1 loss in 4, because 1 was a last minutes winner, the other two were 4 points vs teams with 10 men.

Majority had a shit 90, hence him being our best player

It's not a bad time to go with a new manager having some time in January to strengthen certain areas.

The board won't do it though.

Not 1 player had a good game that’s worrying Wigan by far the better team and yet again our manager out coached.

He should’ve gone after Huddersfield, should’ve gone after Stockport, and should 10000% go after this. Cannot defend this at all. The sad thing is, even though before the game they were 1 point off the drop zone and had lost 3 on the bounce, I could see this happening. We never turn up in the big/local games, and that’s all down to the manager. How many times have we heard the Bolton get battered chant? Beyond fed up.

If we get rid now, we could get a competent manager, and give it a go in the play-offs. We are never ever getting out of league one with Evatt in charge.

I've just said that on the group chat. I'd have accepted it then to be honest. I don't think his heart is even in it anymore. I think he's just doing the normal stubborn football manager thing. And to be honest - he's never going to walk unless it's a mutual consent thing!

I am very very pissed off .

No more last chances, no more false dawns ... 100% time to go.
