  • That was pathetic, abject, depressing, slow, inept, cowardly, and utterly humiliating. I'm one of the so-called "happy clappers", but it's clearly time for a refresh.

When a manager is under pressure and debate is raging about him there’s always A defining moment when everyone agrees it’s time to put an end to it. Today was that moment.   anything that comes

  • They simply have to pull the trigger now. A new manager coming in at this point has plenty of time and a decent amount of points on the board to build a promotion charge. We should be right

Any win will do and in the magnitude of this game, that would be huge.

the division isn’t great, we need to keep holding on until injured players return and the transfer window opens.

We will also gave another decent run

I really don't understand the "division isn't great" chat. I'd say it's all round toughest we've had in the 4 seasons we've been here.

We've got a top 3 who are all currently on course for between 97 and 106 points. And you've got a team in Huddersfield not too far off them. So very tough to keep pace for the autos.

And then the main reason it's a tough league, there are so many play off contenders. Looks like it's split at the moment from 9th down but it was tighter just a couple of weeks ago and could tighten up again bringing teams all the way down to 12th into the mix. This isn't a sign the league is weak, more than it's competitive.

Last season was the weak league one we should have got promoted from.

Let’s hope it’s 3 in midfield not 2 with1 being Sheehan as they will target him as usual and that is a worry not at all cofident, these lot are good defensively and have the best goalie in the league it’s going to be a battle.

I'd tend to agree. Don't think the top end standard will end up being as high as, for example, Plymouth Ipswich and Sheff Wed the year before last but it's more evenly competitive across more teams, partly due to the regression of the likes of Posh and Rotherham (and us to a degree) and the not unexpected good showing of Wrexham and Stockport. Throw in the over performing of Wycombe and improvement of Reading (under trying circumstances) and it's a competitive if not hugely high standard mix

Pound for pound we are better than these, but we all know it’s between the ears where we sometimes struggle in big games. If we turn up with the right attitude we will win. Hate to say it but it’s our cup final.

Watched these men yesterday with me mate cos we had a bet on Exeter. They are absolute horse jizz. Only one with anything about then was Rankine who went off injured.

Totally confident we deal out a drubbing come Saturday.

I'd be tempted to go Vic and Dion up top with a 3 in midfield.

I expect Wigan's midfield to turn the match into a battle and Bolton's midfield to go hiding from the battle as Morley and Sheehan did last season.Wigan don't have as good attacking players as they did last season so it won't be 4-0 but i still predict an away win

Bit like your lot suffered last night 2-3

Massive run of fixtures until Christmas

Got to start with a win Saturday

i fully expect another humiliating defeat to these fuckers.  those wanting 3 in midfield no it wont happen and as usual we will get over run in midfield, i fully expect to be heading back into town by half time. fingers crossed that they turn up this time and evatt keeps his mouth shut all week, any defeat signals the end of him for me,

If you take out the fact it’s Wigan. Everyone would be looking at this as 3 points. I think it has no bearing or statement on intent for the season.

Looking at it simplistically they sit in a block of teams that we have a very good success rate against this season. Should be looking at 3 points here.

I agree. And while I’ll enjoy the moment and the day, come the Friday evening it will mean nothing (other than we can beat shit teams)  if we lose to Wycombe.

Spot on. We go up and they can beat us 5-0 for all I care. We need points not kudos.

As others have said, it's all about the start and the attitude. A few niggly early fouls, get in the refs ear and win your personal battles.  Start like we did last time, where we appeared shocked that they weren't going to sit back and watch our pretty football, and we'll lose.

I reckon 1 goal will win it.

Suspect you're right if there's a winner. But the scoreline I predict likeliest are 0-0 or 1-1.

Haha.

You've no idea how much I want is to beat these fuckers I despise them

Indeed.

For me, if we are going to have any chance of top.2, we need to knock out 7 or 8 wins on the bounce and quick, a bit like Wycombe have done.

That'd get us right in the mix.

Will we do it ?

Probably not tbh but we are capable of it.

Need to start scrapping for everything we can get, starting next week.

We'll piss this 3-0 and get a bit of revenge for the last few games we've played them

For once all the usual suspects that live around me are surprisingly quiet about this fixture. It really is their cup final. No one connected with our great club from the tea lady to the newest of fans should see this fixture as just another in the calendar.  They fucking hate us and their scrote of a manager is under pressure, a result against us will help lift that. He is an ex player and knows what it means to that skidmark clubs fans. He will have em bang up for this .

They always are. I wish someone would show Evatt your post. Although surely to god the penny is dropping with him now.

They have nothing like the tools they had in that front four last year and are short in other areas too. Their fans will expect whoever turns out for them to get at us, we have to start with the energy of the first 20 mins of second half v Blackpool to match it and get in front. They won't have two in them unless we gift them at least one
