The lunatics are out in force already.

Sean Dyche or John McGinlay my favourites so far :D

Really hope it works out for him.

  • We don't need a sentimental appointment here to put a fire out. Like said above, we are fully loaded and ready to go. It's actually a dream job for someone. Sqaud full of talent ✅️ Dece

Nah, it won’t be announced publicly until after the game so 100% focus is on JD and the boys.

Agree but obvs someone could be signed and cracking on on the quiet

Yes I thought that too. If it’s a done deal and just needs announcing he can be sorting any in and outs with Markham behind the scenes so he’s ready to move when alls settled. I’m sure that is happening they’d be silly not to.

I wonder if Fowler is coming in on the coaching staff as his odds tumble.

No idea on his coaching but has gone and worked all over which I think is a good trait.

Could get us a good link up with Liverpool too.

We need to appoint 3/4 coaches so could be conceivable. Actually quite like the idea as I type it out.

Save money on digs for new signings as well.

He's gone to all the countries coaches who can't get a gig in Europe go to, though

Thailand, Australia, India and Saudi Arabia

It'd be a no from me

Maybe the delay is on purpose, the closer the announcement is to the transfer deadline, the less chance of staffing cash away on a new signing.

Nah

I would hope things will be in place regarding contracts, signing, players and agents etc. and it's now a matter of crossing the i's and dotting the t's and (maybe after tonight) there will suddenly be a flurry of activity as that revolving door suddenly starts to spin.

Or... nothing will happen

Didn't Robbie Fowler have a massive property portfolio and was absolutely loaded?

Why would he be arsed to get on the lower leagues management merry-go-round??

If it is Schuey I think all of the staff he had with him at Stoke left bar the GK coach who stayed.

Gaffers seem to stick to the same group unless they’re unavailable so can’t imagine much upheaval to who he has worked with at Plymouth and Stoke

Yeah, he's minted.

Exactly.  Always makes me laugh when folk (not on here, just generally) say "let's have such a bloke as manager, with Kev Nolan assisting" for eg - never happens, they bring their mates with them understandably.  IEs team literally just waiting for him to get another job (in summer realistically), I bet they don't even apply for jobs individually.

Obviously different boards with different attitudes etc, but didn’t we unveil Freedman a couple of hours before playing Wolves away midweek?

I don't think FV are the type of board to unveil a new manager at a match

I also think that's a good rhing

because he likes football and wants to be a coach? rather than sit around doing nothing

fair play

give him a coaching role if he wants one

Cant wait for Robbie Fowler to be unveiled just before kick off, sacking Jules instantly and getting him escorted from the ground and taking his place in the dugout, all whilst Sharon is, in her best Delia impersonation, screaming "you got what you wanted, enjoy this"

The snorts the centre spot, screaming "White Army".

Get him in as kit man so he can sort out the gear

I hope not.

But,  either way, the new manager will select/bring with him his own coaching staff, Shirley.

Whilst I’m guessing, he may well be his guy/choice. Schumacher mates with Gerrard and they likely know each other.

Certainly could be well off the mark here but it could stack up. I would have no issue if it was the case.

I noticed that and wondered if he's had an input into the pursuit of the big lad from Cardiff?

It has no bearing on anything

Anyone can edit Wikipedia and it tends to happen all the time

I think this weekend someone had edited it to show Klopp as manager

Wikipedia means absolutely nothing.

I could create a page for myself and make me manager within 10 minutes if I wanted to and it'd be up for a few hours minimum.

Did you just edit it?

We aint pissing about announcing managers at 730 or half time

Early in the day or Wednesday

Wednesday am I reckon.  See how we react to 20,000ish actually on side and not just waiting for the first bollock to be dropped.

Hearing that players (including fringe players) have been told to arrive early tonight. Not clear if this is a JD initiative or if there is some news to be shared with them!
