After tomorrow, there might be the chance of a little uplift on Tues / through Feb, given the reasonably kind fixtures. March is a really tough month though, and sustaining that bounce won't be easy if the new man has limited time / scope to do a quick bit of squad reshaping.

We've a squad full of players all brought in to do certain things a certain way, while a new man might be able to get them to do those things a bit better, there are things we'll need to get past the likes of Brum, Wrexham etc that are still alien concepts to the vast majority of them.

Spot on

As an aside, I wonder if some success in the Papa / Freight / Sherpa trophy now could be just the tonic the club needs. I'd be semi tempted to go all in on this to get to Wembley and give the fans a pick me up before next season.

he'd be better than what we have currently

As usual he would make it all about him

He's not what we need

I think we still have far more than a slim chance.

Not with Evatt, but a new voice could well do enough to make up those few points.

if the next manager  fails to make the play offs they can get sacked too

Think one thing in any appointment that Sharon will make is the relationship she will have with the new man. She was clearly (and in some eyes too) close to Evatt. That was abundantly clear and inevitably led to the delay in potting him.

some chairmen overlook that sometimes I think and appoint purely on the football aspect. It quickly goes tits up from there.

she’ll be very diligent no doubt about that but will also go with the “feeling” that could bring people in to the mix who are slightly unfancied in the stands and the betting markets. Hence why Buckingham could be in the running despite his CV not looking as impressive as say, Schumacher…

Stoke mate reckons Schumacher was potted way too early , plenty of good signs but impatient board .

On balance I think he is the best available.

Dont think we have time for someone in a job too many complications & not much transfer window time left .

Worrying reading that Markham is still in situ .

That may well change when a new appointment is made.

Reet, 20 bones going down on Wagner as a bit of value at 10/1. He worked with Markham at Huddersfield. Steaks all round when he's stood in the pitch with a wanderers scarf.

Anyone else it's spam all round, although that crap isn't that cheap anymore

I'm assuming (and hoping) this means separate interest

Id take them as a pair myself

Was just having a look at lowe, presumed he got sacked by Preston, but left after 1 game of the season because he wanted a break

Also didn't know Risdale is director at Preston

They've clearly worked well together before but they're both surely now consider themselves managers rather than manager and assistant

Although mainly it's because I just can't take to Lowe

Interesting Brett Ormerod not included in the mass exodus. Kit man not important enough to be included? Heard bad things about him.

He's interviewing for manager

to sack the kit man and blame him the same as the coaching staff is a bit strong 😂 anyway they still need one
