23,500 already sold.

Bradford had 24,000 at the weekend Vs Huddersfield so ours will possibly be the biggest crowd this whole League 1 season.

#AttendNonce

Not by just the law of averages and them lot having it their way for far too long now. But I also think Schueys team now will be much more set up for it than the whole of Evatt's reign.

Under Evatt we were so regimented and set in playing a certain way with weak players. This team now is direct with a lot of pace and more physicality.

Pressure is on us as always, but let that be a kick up the arse for us to get at them.

That is good, we'll definitely beat the 24k mark. Wonder if we'll hit the 26k we got opening game last season.

Yes, attendnoncery, but everyone likes a full ground

wonder if SS v RL adds an extra desire from either manager to get one over on the other

After we stole Erahon from them, without a doubt

Added to the fact that he had a tendency to talk not just this game but any ‘Derby’ game down. It very much felt like they saw it as just another game in the grand scheme of a season

whereas they and as history tells us, many other teams, build the games up in order to ring as much as they can out of the players

derbies are often won by work rate and a pair of bollocks.

I read comments from their gaffer, and they seemed to be playing things down to a degree.

Probably smoke and mirrors, and will be getting his players on a raw meat diet!

I remember him claiming it wasn't a big deal, asking whether we'd prefer a derby win or promotion

As if a) it was a binary choice, and b) he was delivering either

The fucking idiot

“I’d rather be promoted and not beat Wigan than the other way round” or words to that effect and did neither

Think Toal will come back in. ©️ after all and was consciously kept out on Saturday after playing 2 games for N.I

But not sure whether that gives me greater assurance or worry..

agree with this as Toal is slightly better than the disappointing GJ

Attendnoncery....if 23,500 tickets sold, and 3.5k are Wigan, its 20k Bolton

20,157 v Wimbledon, so we've only sold a few hundred extra tickets for this one? (that's not a criticism, stupid prices for a 12.30 KO that folk can watch on TV probably).

But given there were tonnes of no-shows/empty seats v Wimbledon, these figures only tell us the away end will be packed, we don't know how many of our fans will be able to make it (my grandson lives and breathes our matches but can't make Saturday because the team he plays for kicks off at 11).

I stopped bothering trying to work it out when it became apparent 30-40% often don't turn up to  midweek games and just accept the official attendance for what it is

i'm sure every club do it that way

Course they do.  It was just a response to @Stig's comment re everyone liking a full ground.  Its not looking much different to any home game (in our end) looking at those figures, the BN making a big headline about it as if its remarkable, but its just a bigger away following if we don't sell many more.

We don't often sell many more tickets from game to game. The only great differences in attendance comes from away tickets.

In recent times it has us being over-confident and paying the price.

Good friend of mine is back home this weekend and bringing his mate, a west ham fan that has never been further north than Birmingham. (Grown man 😳)

Let's just hope we put on a victory performance he can go back home and tell folk about.

Last time the same friend brought someone that'd never been to Reebok before was the day we walloped Sunderland 7-0. I'm hoping it's a good omen.

Last time I was with a West ham fan who was brought to the game by a mate was boxing day when we beat Blackburn 2-1 and Heskey scored

That is also the one and only game my other half has attended in our 12.5 years together

Slightly off topic I know but has anyone heard anything on the Conway contract situation yet. The lads a real talent so I hope we don’t try to be clever on it?
