If the guy next to you on Saturday isn't up for it because it is wigan and they aren't rivals you tell him to stand up and be counted. Do it for all the whites that put up with the shit that comes out of wigans fans mouths on a daily basis. They hate us all not just the fans they know. They hate everyone of us . 

Stand up and be counted for all the kids that go to school in the wigan borough who have been brought up right the kids that have been brought up WHITE.

Those kids have had dogs abuse over the years but they wear the shirt with honour. 

There should be 20k whites on Saturday and 3.5k of those fools let's show them what a real football club a proper well supported football club sounds like.

Make a noise that they can only dream about a noise made from passion from history a baton passed down through generations of fans. We hold the baton now it is our club whose honour we are tasked with defending.

Wigan wanted this rivalry and we should give it to them. Lets shove it down their throats by the shovel load.

While nobody is calling for anyones heads and it'd be insane to do so right now. If we don't start getting some results then surely the very first wiff some pressure must start to be applied.

For me the defence and midfield are working, we're defending well, the ball is going from/ through midfield and is being recycled into the forwards. 

It's just the final 3rd where things just aren't clicking. Potential real opportunities are being stuff out in what seemingly seems to be an attempt to score wonder goals almost non stop.

While it goes down on paper as a shot and looks good stats wise, it's proability of going in or even beating the first man is very low and ultimately the real opportunity to score is snuffed out. It's a Statistical Mirage, like Evatt's possession stats. 

I'm worried the only time it looks like it clicks is when we're against 10 men or less.

I really want SS to fix this but i'm not sure he sees the problem and if we don't fix it soon we're looking at mid table if we're lucky.

He definitely sees the problem or at least acknowledges it in his interviews but we’ll have to see if he has the wherewithal to fix it.

As for “applying pressure”, are you suggesting that the fans should start to do that if we don’t go on a winning run soon? 
If so, I just don’t see how that would help.

I brought the issues of us not scoring enough and SS needing a win up about a month ago - and as we now have a settled squad and a manager who is aware of our frailties, the only thing that will fix it is good management, tactics and improved performances- and maybe a touch of better luck. And that will either happen or it won’t. There’s nowt we can do to help the situation other than back them regardless.

It's not about piling pressure on. He's a million miles from an Evatt, better play, better style & a better manner. He's brought better players into the squad.

That said we have only 4 wins in something close to 20 league games. That HAS to change & we need more 3pt games. Or, eventually we won't be meeting our targets. It's early days, but becoming not THAT early.

Go at it from second 1.   Get the crucial first goal.

2 up top , get bloody randall out and dalby or forss in.   Let's shut these two bob pricks up.  Annoying me how I let them have any effect on me but this lot just piss me off.

I’ve got it that we’re owed a bit of luck from the season so far. Woodwork hit, deflected goals conceded and just general bounce of ball - even without bias I think you’d be pushed to say we’re not in negative equity on the luck front at this point.

With that in mind, it has to turn somewhere and I’ve got a feeling it’s tomorrow. Early goal and the shackles are off, ACD shows the Sky cameras what he’s all about and we cruise it by 3 or 4. Finally those fuckers go home quiet (and early).

I’ll second that. Randall’s had more than enough chances to show he’s worth a spot and whilst he does work hard he contributes little or nothing goals wise, always bottling out of tackles and headers and either too slow to shoot when the chances come or too scared to try. We need two strikers up top however Schu sources it. He commented earlier about Wigan having wing backs who fire crosses in to two big men as a strength yet never does that for us until we’re either struggling or desperate. We need goals and whilst I accept I’m just a simpleton it strikes me that instead of leaving those players to get splinters in their arse they should be on the pitch scoring goals. Surely Dalby must be fit by now and Forss wasn’t unfit when he came either so for goodness sake get them on the pitch.

We had this conversation last month and the outcome was we all agreed we’d wait to see if it improved.

Hopefully, it’s a work-in-progress and not the Emperor’s New Clothes but whichever it turns out to be, it will be entertaining and we’re stuck with it for now.

Stuffing Wigan would be a step in the right direction.
