He has packed in all punditry work so he can look after his kid who is special needs.

The kid needs a routine so he does the same thing every Thursday (for example) Scholes could not do this if he was working

What a really decent bloke it turns out he is !

You're having a laugh, Shirley ?

Read up on his behaviour & his daughter's in recent years. Acts like the most entitled of the entitled.

Fair play on his autistic lad but he's using this pretty late in the day as he needs an excuse to back out of other matters.

No I am just looking at what he has done for his lad, no problem with him at all.

An immediate look shows this, but there's definitely more.

Paul Scholes angered his neighbours in August 2020 and again in January 2021 by allowing his children to hold parties and social gatherings at his home in Oldham, Greater Manchester, in blatant disregard of local COVID-19 lockdown restrictions.

Key details of the incidents:

August 2020: Scholes hosted a seven-hour party for his son Arron's 21st birthday, which included a DJ and a burger van. At the time, Greater Manchester was under new local lockdown rules that banned social gatherings in people's homes or gardens due to high infection rates. Neighbours and local MP Debbie Abrahams expressed anger, and the police were called to the property to "engage" with an individual and ensure compliance.

January 2021: Scholes' children held a New Year's Eve fancy dress party at his mansion when the area was under Tier 4 COVID-19 rules, which explicitly prohibited mixing households. Photos of the event were posted on social media, again leading to neighbour complaints and public criticism.

February 2021: Scholes himself was later seen flouting rules again by taking a hike on Saddleworth Moor with four friends, even though government guidance at the time limited exercise to only one other person outside your household.

Neighbours reportedly accused Scholes and his family of having a "blatant disregard for the rules" and setting a bad example as a public figure and role model.

You actually have a daughter, so this is basically a confession that the only reason you don't want to shag her is because she's fat and/or ugly.

So the long and short of it he played a bit fast and loose on Covid restrictions on his own property in Saddleworth. Unfortunately leafy Saddleworth just happens to be in the same local authority area as say, Glodwick, where covid was running amok. Hardly the smoking gun you were hamming up...

I remember saying a good while ago that the art of taking "pub humour" comments as they were intended has been lost on here simply for the sake of arguing. I think this applies here.

Jesus christ cheese. Chill out a bit sometimes 😂
