Lincoln can’t change the way they play everyone knows what’s coming from them direct set pieces lowest possession stats in the division same  11 virtually every game not changed personal in last 5 .

but it doesn’t change the result one defeat since November snd unbeaten at home so no I wouldn’t expect them to change anything for us .

for us we’re still trying to find what works for 90 minutes but does give us flexibility to change mid game and keep the opponents guessing pre game to formation and personal

Fair comments, and reasonable to point out that their method has worked so why would they change it, our's has mainly not worked away from home, so does it need changing?  I don't know the answer but it all points to them having the upper hand, they have a tried and trusted system and team, we don't.

I just looked at their appearances this season and 10 have started over 20 league games.  I recognise Darikwa and Reach as players, very experienced.  The other 8 are just names but they seem to be decent players from highlights I've seen: Wickens, Hackett, Bayliss, McGrandles, Bradley, Street, Hamer and Draper.  Ben House not on the list but back from injury now.

We've got 6 with over 20 games - in order: GJ, Conway, ACD, Burstow, Toal and Simons.  A maximum 4 of them will start today and possibly only 2.  That says a lot about how settled our line up is and has been.

Lincoln 73% home win record

Bolton 27% away win record

Lincoln 31 home goals

Bolton 12 away goals

Another of those stats that disregards draws,

We've lost 33% of aways, so we're unbeaten in 67%.

Lincoln have a great home record, as good as us, but have failed to win 4 games.

Our challenge is to make that 5.

And 2nd.

Score plenty, and concede few.

I'm sure their supporters don't give a toss about the style- results count.

Style can't be that bad neither when you're constantly winning.

Agreed.  We've had some games when its been a pleasure to watch us - the 2 Wigan games, Huddersfield away, a few other superb halves of football.  But some turgid stuff in there too, it seems a bit ridiculous for us to turn our noses up at a different style of football.

Fans that endured going to Burton, Northampton, Swindon, Wycombe, Peterboro etc may have been happy to see a 40 yard free kick or a long throw nodded in at the far post.  And let's not kid ourselves that's all Lincoln do, they've got some quality attackers and finishers.

Good.

I see Gale and Burstow are missing from the squad. Bit harsh on Burstow, but hopefully gives us chance to see what Kenny’s like at some stage.

It's a three-game week, there will be changes on Tuesday and again next weekend against Blackpool

And Conway’s not back either.

We do have a great squad atm. Just need to keep grinding out results.

Incredible how many players that have played loads of games this season are now not even in the squad:

ACD, TSL, JDC, Conway, Burstow, Gale, Forss, Morley, Randall.

Thank fuck he’s playing

Edit: was in then out then back in this morning apparently

main thing is he’s in

And fit enough, hope he's not under the weather but being a hero!  If we was "out" so recently it suggests he was doubtful and not 100%.  Fingers crossed any road.

See if he has a blocked up nose on the post match interviews

I've often thought we looked good on paper pre.match, but that squad should really be winning this game, if coached and motivated.

We look good, but so do Lincoln, because they have a proven team and we don't currently.  I've not heard of most of their's but I hadn't heard of EE till he got sent off at our place, and I'd definitely never heard of Simons.  Other teams probably have players as good as our's its just we don't have a clue who they are generally.

Or he’s running round with some bog roll stuffed down his kecks.

Either way - I’m very glad to see him starting

Or if he stops in the 15th minute to chuck up on the side of the pitch.

It didn't do anyone any harm at 11.30am in the Wigan Sunday League in the 90s.
