Perhaps all those who have an issue should post an alternative structure, and I mean complete structure, the club should have used, and a benefits case to show how your structure is generally better than the one the club has used.

We are about 3 weeks later this year getting the ST on sale.

So some serious extra thought has gone into this year's pricing structure.

That for me makes the announcement disappointingly very average.

am guessing

a) you don't get to many games, or

B) you sit in the NSL

I also believe one of the drawbacks of the singing stand last season was the number of regulars who didn't want to stand up and/or sing, this didn't make it a massive failure but for the singing stand to work, the plan should've been to get people in there who do want to sing and encourage those who don't to maybe think about moving elsewhere

well, they're not going to move now

Ok, but what changes would you propose that would make the annoucement not dissappointingly very average?

Personally, I think it is a fair offer that strikes a good balance between value for money, creating an atmosphere, encouraging kids and thus doing all we can to create a fan base going forward.

Wrong and wrong. Missed 1 home game in 5 years and sit in WSU.

I agree that there may be issues with those who want to sing and those who don't but how does the club resolve that? Those at the club have taken what is a fairly bold step and tried to help he atmosphere what more can they do? My whole point here is that is easy to pick one small part of the whole offering and find fault with it, because there will always be issues when trying to please 20000 people, but on the whole it is a pretty good structure and they cannot do much more to encourage both new and existing fans to go.

no it doesn't though.

what about those in the NSL who don't want to be in the singing stand? it's a 33% increase on their ticket to move seats!

Initially chuffed thatt I have saved ?50 from last year. :drinks:

Sit in ESL my ticket ?409,juniior fb is ?49 however why is there a price differential between ESL ?409 And ?299. (is the view better in ESL ?)

Surely all lower tiers should be the same price.

I ain't moving from ESL has happy where I sit and all the mates around.

BWFC have created a monster by everyone will want to sit in NSL and when they sell out quick the fun will begin .

But of course I will be renewing mine and junior's before the deadline =D>

For the NSL to be a successful singing section they need the non-singing current residents to move out. Maybe a letter with their renewal packs offering a ?299 one-off moving-year ST to the ESL or WSL is needed?

Simple things, a reduction in all areas (no matter how small) gets good press - say knock a tenner off the ESL to make it ?399.

Get rid of the 14.9% on the installment plans. BWFC will make fcuk-all out of this in the general scheme of things.

A fixed-price deal. 5 years for ?1,500 was mentioned. OK needs controlled budgeting at the clubs end but locks fans into the club no matter what the future holds.

Family tickets in all sections of the ground. If you are introducing ?49 kids seats in all areas, then why not extend the family tickets to all areas too?

I could go on but I am very happy in my current job and don't wish to get head-hunted by BWFC to head up their Marketing Department.

Do not forget the product on offer, whatever the price.

IE. Boring, negative football under Gary Megsons management.

It would have to be ?49 for adults too for me to ever get one again.

imagine if every adult season ticket qualified you for one free pint per match! that would be a fantastic incentive and not too costly?

You'll be chuffed with that ?49 ticket Totty

It isn't too difficult. Just point out the differences you would like to see and how that would help all the types that constitue our fan base. You would like to see ESL at ?350, which would would be good for you, but then what about WSL, and then what about the differences between ESL/WSL and ESU and WSU. And then what about the clubs finances?

I suppose you would like to see some big name signings, where do they come from?

I'm not in the game of doing someone else's job for them or putting opinions across for other people, I've given my feedback, BWFC can take it or leave it. I really have better things to do with my time than embarking upon some pointless exercise. If it's not too difficult, I'm just wondering why the financial controller here is paid more than me?

Is he sleeping with the boss?

well, for me, it's not exactly small

?49 tickets for kids, fine

price freeze on my season ticket in east lower, fine, ?409 = ?21.52 per match, good value for money

reduction for NSL season ticket holders, not fair - will it make a better atmosphere? I don't think it will, are they obliged to sing? will those who wish not to sing move? not likely, not with prices being that much higher else where, when I say sing, I mean stand as well, it's not everyone's cup of tea and if I remember right one of the reasons why it wasn't exactly a success last season other than a few got to stand up at the back

I'd even have been happy to have seen them introduce ?299 season tickets in the south stand (and I am aware of why they don't in terms of cup matches, giving whole away out etc but it's not impossible to do)

in summary slightly miffed some existing st's have got a decent reduction and the rest haven't, for no other reason than being "fortunate" enough to sit in that stand

You could always turn BWFC's approach down..... <_<

The first two are good suggestions IMO. Although a small reduction just to get the ST below ?399 would meet with cyncism from some I feel.

In terms of the 14.9%, surely if they removed this then everyone would pay monthly, which would defeat the object of ST's in the first place which is to give the club some up front income, during months when the club makes little money, for the season ahead?

Do you see many fans taking up the 5 year deal? Would it be worth the admin of introducing and maintaining it?

Surely the whole concept of singing sections means that you wouldn't have family sections in all areas?

Is it not a much worse view behind the goal?

I'd rather pay an extra ?5 per match to be near the half way line than behind the goals.

No probs with it for me.

I don't think more than a few thousand would take up a 5 year deal anyway to be honest. The only way that I see it working for the club is if the individuals paid out the ?1500 at the front end, which would make it a non-starter for most on here

Indeed. Think certain clubs e.g Villa & Blackburn charge more for the more central view in the same stand i.e East/West Stand equivalent.

Personally, I think it is a fair offer that strikes a good balance between value for money, creating an atmosphere, encouraging kids and thus doing all we can to create a fan base going forward.

lets assume kids/young people oaps are spread evenly arround, you have 6 areas, i am working on all being about same size

these cost 409 229 449 409 449 and 409, that adds up to 2424, divide by 6 and average price of a ticket is 404.

i think the price for kids is excellent and given we have all talked about the future of the club is important. 9aint just saying that cos it helps me out.

the point is that last year 28% of the ground was empty on average, we have made it cheaper in one small area that is normally quite full anyway, even if that area sells out it leaves the rest of the ground 28% empty.

In terms of the 14.9%, surely if they removed this then everyone would pay monthly, which would defeat the object of ST's in the first place which is to give the club some up front income, during months when the club makes little money, for the season ahead?

Come on - do you really think the whole ST issue really makes a difference. We got ?32.2M in 2007/08 for finishing 16th - that is more than United got in 2006/07 for winning it!

Charging 14.9% interest is pointless. Surely they are better sacking off the interest and offering interest free installments to all. Paying ?40 per month for the ST rather than ?400 upfront will be quite attractive to many. The lack of a few million up front in the summer is, these days, negliable to the clubs finances.

The alternative, is the 0% for life Credit Card I suppose.

Picking up on Ani's point. I agree totally, there is nothing in the new packages to suggest that any inroads into the average 28% under-occupancy will change next season. Yes the NSL will be full but these will be mostly ST holders who have moved.

Good strong discounts in all areas of the stadium was needed. With today's TV riches will the club really miss ?300,000 difference between having 12,000 ST paying an average of ?400 and 15,000 paying an average of ?300.

I haven't read all the individual replies, but my take is that it's a great deal for kids and those who sit in NSL.

They've done f?ck all for anybody else really.

My impression was that he does, I couldn't be arsed pointing out the reality of the situation.

Fair & a good balance? And how's that then, please explain:

I don't sit in the NSL nor want to. I have had a season ticket for 10 years and am more than disappointed than someone can now get a season ticket in NSL for thumpence but I still pay the same as last year and kids get in for f?ck all but as a loyal customer I have been overlooked.

So, what exactly am I getting from the club this coming season compared with those people?

I haven't read all the individual replies, but my take is that it's a great deal for kids and those who sit in NSL.

Yes they have, there has been no price increase for 3 years, if people want a cheap ticket get down to the reebok and get a NSL ticket, if they dont want to move pay the extra ?5.78 per game, I do think the ?299 deal should be extended to the south stand for people who do not want to sit in a singing section, other than that I think the balance of the offer is good, but as ever in todays me, me, me, society you cannot win.

Let the kids have their ?49 ST's all together. Put them in South Lower.

I haven't read all the individual replies, but my take is that it's a great deal for kids and those who sit in NSL.

Sounds like Gordon Brown............reward for hard working families
