How can you let a game flow when players are going to ground so easily, with no interest of playing advantage? The 1 time Robben stayed on his feet he'd have been better off going down and getting Puyol sent off which says a lot about the way football is going.

De Jong and Van Bommel showed that they are a couple of dirty fvckers - Van Bommel was lucky to be in the final in the first place and wouldn't have been if previous refs had done their job. Webb was very good all tournament and did all he could to keep at an 11 v 11 final. However, next year I expect he'll have a shocker every time he refs a match involving BWFC.

Has the Dutch coach moaned about Robben missing a one on one....Has he Bollox, he's nit picking at minor details. De Jong should have gone, if he's seen that he's got it totally worng. I was hoping the Spliff Smokers would win at first but changed after about 20 mins when their filthy tactics came apparent.

The point is why should the final be reffed in such way that the ref does more than he would in any other game to keep everyone on the pitch. It is like when a player gets away with something because it is early in the game or the ref lets something go late in a game

Apart from that he did well though.

If the fouls or offences deserve yellow cards then that doesn't mean he had a bad game. The rest of the post doe not really back up the first general statement in the first sentence.
