birch-chorley Posted October 23, 2011 Posted October 23, 2011 I can't fully believe I'm about to write this, but I would have Steve Mclaren. He may be a bell end, but he knows how to set up a team. Wouls Steve Mclaren stop some of players from making the most basic errors like that defensive header from Robbo? I dont think Jesus Christ himself could stop that.

Guest bwfcdan Posted October 23, 2011 Posted October 23, 2011 Can't believe we're having this discussion. Would be ludicrous to get rid of Coyle now, ludicrous.
superjohnmcginlay Posted October 23, 2011 Posted October 23, 2011 Steve McClaren have you just said that or is this dorada I'm supping making me hallucinate

superjohnmcginlay Posted October 23, 2011 Posted October 23, 2011 I heard Glen Hoddle last night. You've got to laugh. Speechless, really?!?!
Ghana White Posted October 23, 2011 Posted October 23, 2011 God this thread is desperate.. I'd rather eat my own face then have megson back.. people have fantastically selective memories.. would mcclaren put on a bolton accent so we could understand him
no balls Posted October 23, 2011 Posted October 23, 2011 Speechless, really?!?! Bungle said some fuckspanner was tweeting it last night. Takes liquorice allsorts I suppose.
Juan.Kerr Posted October 23, 2011 Posted October 23, 2011 Can't believe we're having this discussion. Would be ludicrous to get rid of Coyle now, ludicrous. I agree, but he really needs a good right hand man.
jules_darby Posted October 23, 2011 Posted October 23, 2011 I agree, but he really needs a good right hand man. Spot on that
Pablo Posted October 23, 2011 Posted October 23, 2011 (edited) You will get out of it, im sure. You can come and keep us warm in midtable Edited October 23, 2011 by Pablo
Didledee Posted October 23, 2011 Posted October 23, 2011 You will get out of it, im sure. You can come and keep us warm in midtable I'll be surprised if we stay up.
birch-chorley Posted October 23, 2011 Posted October 23, 2011 I'll be surprised if we stay up. You run yourself a bath and I will bring an extension lead and a toaster.
whitechild Posted October 23, 2011 Author Posted October 23, 2011 I really want OC to succeed, as during our purple patch, the atmosphere at the bok was the best it's been since the early years of Allardyce. But, it seems like our players are somehow unlearning how to play football. Tackling each other, not keeping possession. The basics are non-existant. Many have said that Norwich are basically a championship side still, but what they are doing is working. I don't think sacking the manager now is a good idea, but to wait till Xmas with no real improvement would be suicide. Let's hope the will be some.
onlyoneawalker Posted October 23, 2011 Posted October 23, 2011 Martin O Neill wants a job probably not ours though if we had a vacancy - and who ever said it first i agree this is bloody desperate
Traf Posted October 23, 2011 Posted October 23, 2011 With Megson: the fans were hoping he'd fuck up. With Coyle: the fans are hoping he'll get it right. Otherwise, the end product is pretty much the same: shite.
Pablo Posted October 23, 2011 Posted October 23, 2011 I'll be surprised if we stay up. You aint half dramatic Dids. Bolton win a couple and your going to win the league, you loose a few and your going down.
Ani Posted October 23, 2011 Posted October 23, 2011 everyone agrees we were getting hammered yesterday...yes ? OC has one sub forced on him and that did not help, but you have to cope with what gets thrown at you. skd goes off for klasnic, and petrov for Kakuta, no change of system and after the subs if anything sunderland had even more of the ball, why not change the system? swap the daviess mark for kevin ? ok he wants to stick to this system, but even then if skd had been on the pitch would he have been helping defend the corner they scored off? he is having a poor season but at set pieces at our end he is better than IK. Now people might say you do not blame for forwards for defenders not doing their jobs (robinson) but given we now have 11 back for corners it is about what the team does. the only reason OC is not under real pressure is that i doubt we can afford to sack him, but if you bring a young manager in and let him bring his back room staff who are equally inexperienced this is risk you take. we are in a hole and need something to change at the moment OC has not shown he can do that, i am desperate for him to show he can do the job but at the moment seems a long way off.
Bobcat Posted October 23, 2011 Posted October 23, 2011 Fucking sweet baby jesus....i forgot about o neil...there is one stumbling block though...gartside has appointed some shite in his time...
HomerJay Posted October 23, 2011 Posted October 23, 2011 With Megson: the fans were hoping he'd fuck up. With Coyle: the fans are hoping he'll get it right. Otherwise, the end product is pretty much the same: shite. Bang on the money that sir
MickyD Posted October 23, 2011 Posted October 23, 2011 Yes I do. Paul Robinson heads that clear and its nil a piece with 5 minutes left. The second was 3 on 3 on the break because we where trying to equalise. You take that mistake out it would have finished nil nil. As bad as we where it would have still been a draw. Ok, obviously with 8 minutes to go anything could have still happened but if he makes that simple defensive header then we would have had a much better chance of getting a point than how he fucked up. Yet again we have conceded with a schoolboy defensive error. Steinson was the same against Chelsea for there first. Its easy to blame Coaching staff, training etc but you would expect lads turning out on a Sunday morning not to make basic errors like that let alone pros. Maybee there confidence is just shot at and thats where the manager does come in. The thing is, just after Robinson's 'fuck up' Eagles looked to have had ample opportunity to put a boot through the ball.
MickyD Posted October 23, 2011 Posted October 23, 2011 Phil Brown because he's had enormous success everywhere he's managed!
